OEILD (Outside Entrance Induced Lucid Dream)

I had an idea that I thought was actually pretty good... While reading Hyu's Adventures (A dream journal on here, check it out, it's pretty awesome) I heard about being able to sense other dreamers' aura and being able to find them like that. There was also a post where he reminded another dreamer to perform a reality check. That now brings me to my idea, OEILD, Outside Entrance Induced Lucid Dream. Basically, you would find a friend or someone you know who is an experienced lucid dreamer who can get into lucid dreams easier than you and have them seek out your aura and find you, then remind you to do a reality check. The only problem is that this whole aura thing might exist only in Hyu's dreams, as I don't see anybody else using it much. But nevertheless, I would definitely like to know if this would actually work! If someone could test it then I'd be elated.

In my dreams I commonly use an ability that allows me to sense the energies/auras of dream characters. I can use this as a way of reality checking at least. I don't yet believe in shared dreaming though, which is what I think you're describing here. So this would be considered impossible to many people who don't believe in it. I really do like the idea of looking for auras inside dreams though.

The idea of someone (DC, your subconscience, another dreamer) making you lucid has come up. Theoretically it's a good idea. You could try asking your DC to get you lucid next time, that's probably easier than asking someone to come into your dream.

But I think it would still be a DILD, since DILD is a lucid dream, when you become lucid while in regular dream for whatever reason. Good luck with the test.

Oh I forgot about that technique. It's definitely an interesting one, but I couldn't get it to work. I was going to sign a contract with my dream guide, hoping that it would make him come into all of my dreams to tell me I'm dreaming. Unfortunately the contract that was given was actually to be signed between me and a girl so that I would be her dream guide and help her out in her dreams. Completely backfired on me.
