Memory Chains and Dream Signs

I'm hoping this is the appropriate sub-forum to post this. Anyway. I've come up with an idea that I've only decided to try today, so I have no experience yet with it. Looking to see if anyone already uses it or has advice. If you are familiar with memory techniques such as Memory Palace, the peg system, etc.., then you will understand exactly what I am doing here. But quickly put, almost all memory works through chaining one memory to another. You think 'bird', your mind immediately thinks egg, nest, tree, twigs, etc.. What I'm proposing is using this fact to chain together Dream Signs with RCs. As an example, one of my dream signs is a cop (personal experience dream sign). For the Dream Sign cop, I picture a police officer in full uniform sitting on a bed, using the breath through your plugged nose RC. I do the same thing for my other dream signs: girl, car, book. You can make adjustments yourself obviously as to what dream sign or what signals dreaming for you. As with all memory techniques, you have to use something outrageous, strange, out of the ordinary for it to work, because memory of odd events, memorable events is what gets stored and recalled most efficiently. Whether the subconscious will make the same memory connections while dreaming is still unknown for me. Thought I'd throw this out to see if it stuck. Thanks.

As an afterthought, i decided to double down on the above idea. I'm going to add a mantra before bed to the mix: "I always recognize my dream signs." We'll see.

Night two, my subconscious started messing with me. Instead of a car in my dream to match my dream sign, it gave me a car with no wheels that flew. Instead of women in my dreams, it gave me military installations with only men present. The one dream with women it it, they were zombies (apparently that doesn't count as a woman to my subc). There were 2 cops in my last dream, as for some reason they were the only ones who could wield the blade that would kill the zombies; one was dead and out of sight, and I was searching for the other one. I'll have to adjust my dream signs, lol. We'll see. But I did manage one DILD, though it was from general awareness. I practice ADA but am not overly consistent yet.

Seem like your subcouscious is as facetious as mine. I used to go through windows to trigger lucidity (... It sound bad now that I think about it XD but it worked! not all the time, but still.) so of course I ended up dreaming about a box-like room with locked doors and no windows, and we I did managed to open the door, it was to find a evil double laughing at me. I, mh, dispatched it, and started to work on more varied RC.
