I have been a member of this site since 2004, for about 6 years now. Throughout this whole time i have not been trying to lucid dream. Everyone once in a while i would go in a spurt where i would try but then i would never succeed so i gave up quickly. This is the easiest way i have found for myself to have a Lucid Dream.
When i first started I thought the easiest way for me to lucid dream is performing a WILD. I soon learned that it would be very hard to do because it takes some experience to perfect that technique. Although i do believe i got very close, i just didn't know where to go after a certain point. I would like to still have a wild at some point but right now, my life isn't in the right position for me to be performing WILD's.
In 2009, out of nowhere i had a lucid dream and in that dream i started flying up trying to get to the moon. a few months after that, i had another one where i saw people frrom my high school i no longer talk to. This again peaked my interest in Lucid dreaming, so I came back to this site. at the turn of the year i decided I would make it my new years resolution to be able to have a lucid on command, although i am still far away from that, i have had about 10 lucid dreams this year alone. I find the easiest way to have a lucid is just have confidence. from the moment you wake up, just look forward to the night time because you will have a lucid dream. If you think that's to much of a step, just have confidence that you will remember multiple dreams. I do this a few times throughout the day, just keep having confidence, don't get overly confident that you will be overthinking it, and will end up not having anything, just give yourself little messages throughout the day. Think to yourself "am i dreaming? I'm not right now but i will dream tonight!" I know this may sound simple and stupid but this worked the best for me. Just thought I'd share, it may help someone else.
