It's not difficult, but it is a little tricky. If it's not working, you're not doing it right and trying the same thing will not work. Go find yourself a feather and tickle yourself with it so you can remember what the sensation feels like. Then try to imagine that sensation tickling the front of your amygdala.

Indeed tricky it is, I have been trying for an hour and nothing, I must have no gift for this. I tried to imagine the feeling which I have before felt on the hand and nothing. It's a shame, I must be bad in imagining things it seems but I will keep trying.

Hm. I can't figure out how to help you because I can't figure out what you're doing wrong.

First be aware of both amygdalae. Feel them in your head. Maintain focus on them, pick one and place a light, fuzzy sensation on the front of it.

I visualize a feather because it helps to create the sensation of being tickled, but the detail of the visualization only happens for a half a second, because the reaction will be instant. Its more important to find the correct position and capture the feeling of being tickled. If you can capture that feeling for a split second, you will feel the floodgates squeak open.

I am absolutely positive you can do this, by the way.

Original Poster, First I really appreciate your help on this, so thank you.

Maybe I am not concentrating on the right location or even not concentrating strong enough. I have looked around on the web, how to locate where this amygdala actually is and according to Neil Slade it is where I put a red dot on the image below. Some other Dr on the YouTube pointed it to be where I put the green dot, he said it is at the intersection lines from eye and ear. Than some other woman was tickling the center of the head. anyway according to your experience which color dot would you think it is?

I am not going to give up on this so easily

Unfortunately, I haven't been able to do this. But for those who have experienced this and are able to do it, try using the same method again but imagine it being sliced or a sharp pain. I'd be interested to read the results

      renton- the blue dot

araishu- I actually got the same result, any attempt to stimulate anything on the front of my amygdalae causes them to click forward. However, if I imagine simply poking them, I receive no result. It is the imagine of a sensation of some type that clicks them.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

Interesting, so it would appear that any kind of sharp/shocking stimulation could be used to activate them. Thanks for trying it out

It was considerably weaker to be honest. But yes, it makes little difference what type of sensation you place on the amygdalae, they will react to it.

Ill give it a try just because it's unique and post my results.

After contemplating this for a bit, I do believe this can work, and let me explain why.

Take for example, the pinel gland (third eye chakra) correlation.

I don't know how many people here meditate actively , but I would assume a large portion.

Anyways my theory is, that if you can activate your pineal gland, (which I have) over 7 years ago, and use your third eye psychic center, then why is this any less possible to achieve?

Ever since I have activated my third eye, I have the strobe light pulsations from the third eye (pineal gland) basically every day, just from closing my eyes, not even always meditating, just from being relaxed, and this by no means is a placebo.

So with all this in mind, I do believe there is relevance to this method and I am very excited to see where it goes. I did take a few seconds to try and stimulate it on my right side, and I found sensations from just above the temple area. I will continue to work with this and target these areas and explore other regions if need be.

      venn99, I hope you will succeed ,

I just started to meditate myself not long ago just about a month ago. After maybe second or third time I have meditated I started to notice/be aware of my brain activity in a way of tingling sensations, at first only the frontal lobe but then it spread all over my head. After a week or so, the feeling increased to the point that it became a pressure, and it was the most pronounced in the temples. One time it came to the point that I was kind of drifting away but the feeling suddenly became so strong, it scared me of, I thought if I continue I will get stroke or something it was quite painful to be honest.

I still keep trying to tingle my amygdala by doing my meditation and just before I finish it, when my concentration is at its highest then I try, unfortunately I still had no luck.

Has anyone here had any experience with magnetic pulsers? they look quite interesting, I first have found about them on this post "how i raised consciousness using a magnetic pulser - David Icke's Official Forums". It is very interesting read. I am thinking about version based on the original Koren's Helmet (a.k.a. god's helmet) "8 Coil Shakti Magnetic Brain Stimulation. Koren Helmet. Persinger", it is quite expensive though.

I also started to read Science and the Akashic Field by Ervin Laszlo, you should have a look at it.

Guys have a look at the following video is very interesting, it's a lecture, by neuroscientist Todd Murphy, he talks about the subject of Enlightenment.

We'll here is the thing. Don't give up just immediately. It took me weeks if not a month or two to actually activate my third eye. It actually took a kundalini awakening experience to be able to use it like I do today daily, but now it is fully activated and I can use it whenever as long as I work with my energy and focus to accomplish any task. It does take a lot of work and attunement to do things like telepathy, teleportation, telekensis and so on and so forth, but i am not willing to do all the work to experience these things but I know that they are possible with an activated chakra system and third eye. I am finding more and more my abilities are coming naturally though conscious awareness. I did at one point spend 2 years as a vegan , meditating and doing psychic readings for a living when I realized my true potential. Since then I have just been living my life normally. During that time I had to be very segregated from society and energies to be able to exerperience what I did and since then had decided if I am going to make all those things work they have to be able to be integrated into normal living.

Now back to the amygdala . I had a power nap this morning. Before that I did do some "feathering". I also did some general exercises that I came up with on my own like using my third eye pulses to generally massage all areas of my brain, frontal lobes, amygdala and just generally all over. Because if focusing on glands can have an affect, so should focusing on the entire brain. So I am now going to incorporate these meditations into my dreaming.

The results of this exercise so far weren't bad. I had a very long and detailed extremely vivid dreams. These are almost as exciting as lucid but not quite. They are very revealing however and I need more of these with more detail to become lucid, so I think I will keep practicing. I want to work more on the meditations. I never really had any sensation other then a swelling sensation on the gland. There was no tingling or laughing, so more work may be required, although I am very optimistic that I am onto something here so I am going to keep up the work

I will check out your video here shortly.

venn99, I am not going to give up, no way.

Just yesterday I was reading about rising this kundalini energy, I straight away thought this is the way but I realise it is something I can't do yet, not until I improve my meditation greatly it seems to be going in the right direction so far.

Any chance you could outline me in super simple bullet points how exactly you been doing this kundalini energy meditation I know there are many books on the subject and some are supposedly very good but I would rather skip the reading part and get the essence from someone who has already done it. If you could please write me down what you do on each kundalini meditation it would be great.

I am at the moment just doing the most basic soham meditation and it is great as far. Oh and I found this website yesterday, I just had a glance but will read more it looks very straight to the point and this is what I am looking for.

As for amygdala I am trying it every time after the meditation but I think it will still be some time before I succeed.

Yes what helped me was the Buddhist mantra OHM incorporated into this CD Wellness Music - Relaxation & Meditation/Mind & Spirit CD Album specifically one of the 4 songs on the CD, can't remember which one exactly without playing them all again, but what happened was I went into a hypnogagic space of total non existence. No sense of self, no awareness, nothing, then I exploded out of it to the mantra OHM reverberating through my body into a wormhole type white light emanating from my third eye / heart chakra combination. It was one of the most amazing experience I have ever had. It was an extremely enlightened phase of my life where I lived in peace and tranquility always.

All the versus on that CD are amazing though and they all helped, coupled with a strong desire to stay balanced hemisphereically and internally speaking and at peace. It happened totally spontaneously and when it did happen it shocked me so much I snapped out of the meditation. I've never experienced the same thing twice although I don't think it is necessary that I do because I believe it to be like I said a Kundalini awakening, but I also believe a portal to the 5th dimension that we all posses within and can access with the right attunement. I know this due largely in part to a near death experience I had before this where I was in a realm of white light with some other people. The experience was basically identical to that. Lots of amazing experiences for sure.

As far as the amygdala goes, I am still working on this. It's wierd because sometimes I can just think of it and feel it so simply other times it's hard to do, but I suppose it's just like anything else with meditation, you have to find the right , time , space and will and when the 3 align you will have magnificent results. Needless to say I am extremely interested in where this amygdala thing is going to take me but reading about it and finally getting a "click" , I am sure will be another life altering experience, but this one the biggest of all from what I am reading about it./

i forgot to mention these mantras and a few other very unique cd's I use used to always give me sleep paralysis. I used to meditate literally like 8 hours a day. Whenever I was feeling somewhat relaxed and / or tired I would go lie down and meditate to the music. Very frequently I would go into SP and not know what was happening. The mantras take over your body literally. Something happens when you listen to them and recite them and SP is really easy to fall into. I used to think it was always some sort of demonic attack, but now I know better. I am going to start using them again and will burn the tracks some time here in the future if you want to try them. I honestly know meditation has always been the key for Lucid Dreaming. I used to do it all the time years ago not really realizing what was happening or the benefit of it. After contemplating this for a few days and really understanding this all more, I am definitely going to make this all happen again using the methods I used to use back in 07, which essentially are complete relaxation, non though, SP and lucidity approaches. I posted a bit about it in another thread but may go into more detail at another time.

      venn99,

I have tried some iso tones from Iso-Tones - Home while ago but only few times, I had no faith in them so I gave up but if you are saying yours are working why not I wouldn't mind trying them.

I have never experienced sleep paralysis myself to be honest, but I heard it may be a bit scary.

I agree, it may be that meditation can improve lucid dreaming, though I moved from dreaming more to meditation mainly because I can practice it more often, with dreaming I need to to be off work for longer time, because I do a lot of night shifts and my sleeping pattern is all over the place, and you need to be rested to do it, also it seems that with meditation I have more control with a dream once in it I can only hope it will work the way I want. Anyway when I can I still work on it. Below I have attached very interesting read on Astral Projection, have a look.

      The Astral Blueprint.pdf
      Treatise on Astral Projection.pdf

It is nearly a month now, since I started meditating either once or twice a day. Mainly using soham, sometimes switching with om and breathing technique called quantum pause (funny name). My mind is very focused, nearly no thoughts are popping in to my mind during this state. First couple of times I felt a lot of tingling in the frontal lobe only, after couple more times it was the whole brain. Now it is more like a pressure and I am getting this even if not meditating, lets say I am sitting at work and I just think about it, not so strong as during the meditation but still. Anyway this is nothing important in relation to progressing in meditation but few times I had this feeling of dropping of the conciousness but always I realised this and unfortunately this has stopped it. Anyway I am enjoying it so I will definitely keep going with it. Like the two most important foundation of yoga say,"never give up" and "always let go".

Yeah I have never really had much success with iso tones or any binaural beats except on one occasion. I found a BB generator online that really worked wonders for my and amplifying my psychic abilities. i used it in conjuction with white powder gold. Then my computer died and I could not find it again for download. (the only one that really ever worked for me)

It is pretty awkward. It's different all the time. I had it just last night. It just feels evil, although I know that if you just allow the feeling to overtake you, you start to vibrate and leave the body. I've done it lots but still sometimes resist it. Like last night. I knew what was happening but it's almost like the mind takes over sometimes because you forget what you should do. But the good thing to note is since I started using the mantras again I am ALREADY experiencing it again. The mantras totally alter your energy state it is awesome.

I first realized what lucid dreaming was when I had a job where I was doing shift work, because of my alternating rem sleep patterns being interrupted.. That's how it all started for me. After that I tried to replicate the results, which I did for a while, but the results dwindled after time. However, now , with me starting back up with meditation and if I go on a raw food diet, I can completely amplify my energy field so that when falling asleep I can easily enter a dream, and there is no separation of consciousness. I know that is the key because I have done it lots, but I am not all that ready to start completely disciplining myself again to get to that level spiritually, but I am getting ready. Yeah the key to success with meditation is heightened awareness, inner peace, clear and focused mind and thought and in increase in all psychic awareness, thats how you know you are doing it right and of course a pulsating third eye chakra and an open heart chakra or hear center in general (advanced). Ill have a look at the links shortly.

Those sounds like kundalini awakening symptoms and dropping out of conscious while meditating is a hypnogagic effect that happens before a kundalini awakening. Let it happen if that is what you are feeling. As well for meditation it should always be comfortable. Never force it . I tend to only do it when I am feeling slightly sleepy and relaxed. I get the best results that way and throw on some mantras and it always takes me places.

You certainly are right about having to be relaxed, yesterday I meditated on a bit of hunger I thought I will try it this way as I always read you should not do it right after a meal but it didn't work well for me. I couldn't relax because I was thinking about food .

I know, not to force it. But sometimes it is not easy for the beginner. I remember once I was trying to get LD, but on a day before I read that if you blink with your eyes while LD it will straight away wake you up. So OBVIOUSLY I blinked in that dream because I remembered it and really wanted not to it was like my mind was maliciously doing opposite of what I wanted , kind of funny. So next time I figured that I will try to hold my imagined eye lids with my fingers and I did but guess what my eyes blinked anyway, I was so gutted! It took me long time to forget about this stupid thing and now even if I blink in a dream it doesn't wake me up. I guess it is just a suggestion thing.

Can you tell me, when you are meditating and doing your Om mantra if I remember correctly. Are you trying to keep it up even when you feel awakening starting to happen? what I mean are you trying to do it for whole "session" or when you get to the point when you are concentrated enough that no thoughts are popping in you stop thinking mantra.

I never really did or do anything. I just let the sound of the mantra take me in. I barely focus or try to do anything. If I am not naturally relaxed enough and wanting to do it I don't do it. The whole thing happened spontaneously , as well with a lot of lucid dreams.

I just tried this and had a very weird experience. My eyes started to twitch and I had this weird sensation go all over my body, a sort of tingling sensation. I feel really weird now and sort of out of breath.

I don't know if this is legit meditation practice or what, but I found the position of those almonds and now I constantly feel their presence without having to touch the spots anymore, Now while im writing I somehow am managing to imagine the tickling sensation more but it's not enough yet it's really slight almost as if I just keep writing gibberish because I can focus on the sensation better that way ok it is getting more intense now I can feel it rising and rising and rising and rising and wow ok whats this hm feels like powder like that effervescent powder just I dont seem to break through but maybe I do I just have to focus some more, maybe tickling myself will help ok I tickle my feet now hmm.

fazit: nope. I now constantly feel those two almonds on each side and a little tickling beneath them but it's nowhere close to what you said. Hmm, I wonder if autosuggesting myself will lead me somwhere, I let you know.

fazit2: I know somehow tickled my pineal gland instead and am having goosebump-rushes flowing out of the back of my brain then laying down over the rest of my brain and spine like a soft slik cloth. I failed...

Don't try so hard. The tickling sensation is supposed to to relax and open them. Straining to make it work will have the opposite effect.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.

You fellas who are able to do it, mind telling me your methods?

This feather method commonly mentioned, do we imagine it going through our skull? two feathers? one each side? or just one feather?

One at a time is best for beginners. The sensation should take place in your skull but you don't necessarily need to imagine a feather going through your skull, but imagine the tickling sensation a feather would make, were it in your skull.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
