Question Having trouble sending energy to the top of my head - need help dealing with energy issues!

Yes I know this is way out there for these forums. But I also have no other forums yet where I can post these sort of questions. Since I do have access to this resource I thought I'd take a shot and see if I hit anything - AKA get some help from someone like me who moves around energy but is far more experienced. It sucks because there is no, absolutely none, support or help for these sort of matters anywhere in books or on the net. I feel completely alone with no support at all. My own fault I guess for diving so deep into these sorts of things. Well on to the question...

Every day when I get up I spend a few moments with Bruce Moen's energy exercise combined with a bit of Robert Moss's shamanic practices. Essentially I close my eyes, visualize myself in an area with energy in the form of sparkling water flowing above me and below me. I then send down roots through my feet into the earth, I set the intention they go out and watch a little but do not direct. They develop bulges on them where energy is stored. I then send energy up through the top of my head through the second sheet of water. I develop roots here with energy bulges, but these are white, energy based roots and I try very hard to let them go where they may even more so than the earth roots.

Then I inhale and exhale 3 times, imagining that the water/energy is coming up through my feet, through the top of my head, and back down again. Exhale same process. 3 times of 3 sets of inhale then 3 times of 3 sets of exhale. Then I reverse the flow, drawing it from the top of my head through the bottom of my feet and back up 3x3 times inhale/exhale.

Last following Meg Blackburn Losey's instructions I lower my chin to my chest and look down deep inside myself. Looking for the center, a sort of spark at the center of my being, somewhere near my Dan Tien is where I find mine. Once I see its energy clearly I inhale and draw the energy through my whole body. This is to protect me from exterior influences and entities. According to Losey the best defense we have is our own unique energetic signatures, and infusing that energy through your body will protect you. I haven't tested it with entities yet, but I notice that the negative attitudes and influences of others around me do not affect me when I am thus protected. I am a very sensitive person so I need this, otherwise I would get carried away in my responses to the actions and attitudes of others.

OK so the problem is this... The last two days there is a spot at the top of my head near the back where I can't seem to send energy. It's very strange. Normally I just inhale, intend it infuse my body, and it does so. But these last two days there is resistance there. I have drawn in energy from around me and ran it through the area but the issue has not been resolved. I would like to know how I should go about addressing this issue.

You help would be greatly appreciated!

      Your resistance to something,
Is the only power it has over you.
      This too, will pass.

Have you tried drawing the energy from the crown of the head down through the rest of the body, instead of directing it from the feet upwards? I've always found it useful to imagine the energy like a bolt of lighting striking the crown of my head, flowing down my spine and igniting/spinning all my chakras as it flows downward and out through my feet and finally grounding to the earth. It's just a different way to imagine the energy that could potentially help you. Also if you are having more difficulty getting energy to flow through a certain area of the body, then it's likely due to a blockage...which could be caused by any number of things. I would suggest meditating but directing your consciousness to the area of the body that you feel is blocked, and think about ways to get the energy flowing through there again. Place your hands over the area and focus healing energy out through your hands (this technique takes a lot of practice to master). There are many exercises about how to open certain chakras that you might find useful if you search online...and you said you can't find this sort of information anywhere, but believe me, it is everywhere, you just need to know what to look for I guess...which is mostly dealing with chakras, prana, chi, and body energies.

As for aura fortification and protection, I have always found the Tower of Light meditation to be really helpful. Adapted from: The Llewellyn Practical Guide To Psychic Self-Defense & Well Being available here: The Llewellyn Practical Guide To Psychic Self-Defense & Well Being (Llewelyn Practical Guides): Melita Denning,Osborne Phillips: 9780875421902: Amazon.com: Books

      The Tower of Light Exercise.
      Protection against psychic attack
      1. Stand erect, feet shoulder-width, arms at your sides, breathing evenly and deeply.
      2. Progressively relax your entire body starting from the top of your head working slowly down to the bottoms of your feet.
      3. Mentally visualize that you are surrounded by a long ellipsoid of intense, bright blue light that extends 9 inches outwardly from every point on the surface of your body.
      4. Continue to maintain this image and visualize a globe of brilliant white light above (but not touching) your head. The globe is inside of your bright blue aura.
      5. Concentrate on this bright white globe so that it becomes brighter, glowing white like burning magnesium.
      6. Keep both images of the bright blue aura and the brilliant white globe and mentally aspire to the highest standards of morality, good, and love that you can.
      7. Next, feel the white globe showering you with glittering white light filled with silver sparkles. This white light should permeate your entire being, coursing vibrantly through you.
      8. The outer shell of your aura should be an intense bright blue filled with the vibrant, sparkling white light. Concentrate on this complete image as long as you can, fully believing in its reality. Feel your outer auric shell as a hard, sharply defined blue as you feel blissful and alert.
      9. As you close, let the image fade slowly while believing that it is not fading from reality.
The exercise is a form of passive psychic self-defense and involves active meditation using visualization. It is easy to do and should be done two or three times a day, at least in the early morning and before going to bed at night. The exercise takes only a few minutes as a minimum but can be done as long as desired. The exercise is quite safe and can be done as many times during the day as desired. With practice, the visualization is more easily performed and can be called upon in an emergency when needed. Each step of this exercise serves an important function and should not be omitted.
Moved this to Inner Sanctum btw.

There is an extremely large and exhaustive number of books on qigong, meditations and energies. Scribd has many. This book, Qigong Meditation by Yang-Jwing-Ming is an extremely good resource that I personally reccomend. It is important to know the various channels of the body well before you try to manipulate them so that you do not accidentally create blockages from incorrect practice. Most of the time, sitting meditation dissolves these unintentional hiccups so long as you are able to fully relax into your stillness practice afterwards. There is also standing meditation for dissolving blockages and improving flow.

It is not a good thing to congeal much energy in the head - generally, it should feel as though there is nothing behind your eyes, completely weightless and free. Energy from above is very fine and tends to fall when unobstructed (contracting and becoming coarse), and energy from below is rather course and tends to rise when unobstructed ('expanding' and in the process becoming more fine). This happens automatically through correct practice and does not need to be guided. Remember, the less you interfere with the process the more powerful the results - the most simple qigong will generally give better results, since you will not be spending all of your energy trying to keep up visualizations, it will be free to go where needed.

It only works as fast as you let it.

Everything works out in the end, sometimes even badly.
