How can I clearly view what Im thinking about?

First of all,I just joined and Il be asking alot of questions over the next couple days. now to the point, When ever I try to imagine something in my mind, its like a flash of light. But its what Im imagining about, I can see it (only in black and white). Its also VERY blury, I can think about my seft walking around my school. But when I tpy to grasp an image from it...I just cant,I can but again its like I described before (B & W,and blury). The only times I can ever remember anything in color are my dreams. So Im asking how can I make my imagination vivid, colorful, and just viewable! I see all this "day dream" and "Lucid day dream" yet I cant even imagine things clear enough to even enjoy them! so really Im asking tips on how to picture things in your mind clearly!

      Practice and meditation.
Try going over your Dj and visualize what happened.

I don't just mean from dreams (right now I don't have a dj) I mean if I think of a good design or something that looks cool. I can't picture it in my mind,I can but again it's in flashes, black and white, and very blurry.

      Okay.

      -Take an object, any object
      -Look at it
      -Close your eyes
-Picture it in your mind's eye

That's how you practice visualization. I think it's strange that you visualize in black and white, are you colorblind or something?? lol . And do you daydream in black and white or just visualize?

I'm not color blind, for some reason my mind won't let me picture things. (I have a small case of ADD) but I wouldn't think it would effect my mind in that way. Also I can't really daydream meh. It comes to visualization. I can just wonder of and think about what I
Do later,or think about things I could invent. When it comes to full daydream(picturing and all) I can't do that.

I highly suggest keeping a dream journal for it will help improve memory which is an important factor.

I also would suggest checking out Finnegan's article "LDD-Lucid Day Dream"
There is some great information in there.

My final suggestion would be try getting a blank sheet a paper and visualize or project the design on the paper as your drawing it, and with time and practice you'll get it.

Now in terms of color I have no idea. I've heard of people dreaming in black and white but not waking life memories. Since you say you dream in color perhaps try keeping that dj and maybe the color will pour over to waking life. Just my opinion.

I red the LDD and that went along with my other thread (please check it out) I can't even properly daydream. I don't get the concept of daydreaming. Is it what it sounds like,a dream while awake. Or is it just loosing focus and letting your mind wander. I can let my mind wander. I can also draw what I see or visualize. That's not what I'm going for though. I want to clearly be able to create objects in my mind, then in my vision with my eyes closed, then eventually be able to picture things just like its sitting to my desk. This to me is a big process to make the world what I want.(changing the color and shape of my surroundings) with just my mind. Really being able to alter reality in my perspective. That's really 1 of 2 reasons I joined. So really I just need to know how to create and visualize objects and scenes in my mind.

The practice required for that if it was even possible would be substantial, and much easier to do in a lucid dream, honestly to me this sounds like a self induced psychosis. I would stick with practicing Lucid Dreaming. And create your own world there. Then when you have the experience and knowledge, perhaps practice LDD, so you have an idea what your working with. Sorry perhaps I misunderstood.

Well with that I'm not sure if that's even possible. And one is usually on drugs or has a severe mental disorder to experience such. Thus you would be risking losing touch with reality. It sounds to me you really want to be able to create your own world, which is not a bad thing, that's alot of dreamer's goal. Even one of mine. I think your going about it the wrong way though. You don't want to alter waking life because then you couldn't tell if your dreaming or not so to speak. Learning and practicing lucid dreaming would be the easiest and safest way to create your own world or worlds even. Check out a writer on Ld4all named Writerscube. He's been successful with the world creation, and destruction lol. As well as creating his own devices and such.

It's worth a shot, try using that tutorial they posted in the other thread. Learn to lucid dream if you want, it'll prepare you for any surprises your subconcious throws at you, otherwise I wouldnt attempt it.

I think I had a similar mind Yours once, I had trouble visualizing 3D objects and looking at them, rotating them ect. Then I got into Graphic design, Reading and started drawing a lot more, and I can say, I think it helped a lot.

I don't know, might just be me, try and do some creative stuff once every day, could work out for you.

Actually I wouldnt suggest it at all. Lucid dreaming is one thing but controlled hallucinations could lead to psychosis or something. Your younger so lucid dreaming could come alot easier to you since you spend more time in REM.

He doesn't want to control his hollucinations, he wants to have a better, stronger imagination so that he can create and define objects in his mind.. It's natural. It's safe.

      Maybe I misinterpreted though.
Check out his other thread as well.
But like I said I may be mistaken,
Can you further define what it is your trying to accomplish Cbm?

Yes I do want to have controlled hallucinations in a way. Theres another thread on here (Cant post till IM 7 days old) It teaches you how to change your perspective. Change colors of thing, change the shape of things, ect (Its called advance vision control, search it up Dreamview will be first link). All Im asking in this thread is to know how to,like the title says, Have a clear image of anything in your mind. Thats the first step in the other thread. The thing is,I cant even do that! Im in a lvl under newb. I can describe something (Like mf Agenda is blue, white, and rectangular) but I cant picture it.

Most people can't. There are variations on the population regarding vividness of mental imagery, and it's only natural to not be able to come up with solid images of anything in your mind. It's your brain that is stopping you from achieving that, and for good reasons. This topic seems to have some information, after some digging, it seems that the topic is present on sports psychology.
