I used to see 1:12 a lot (in the night). But I guess I've noticed only because it's an R&B group i kinda like (and also an emergency number, right?). I believe we look at clock a lot during the day, but why should we notice for example 14:55? That's boring. And we may saw it more than 11:11 in our lifetime. But 11:11 "looks good", that's why we remember it.

I believe that our subconscious mind sees 'everything' (360 degrees... or even through dimensions or universally) but the conscious mind is focused. So, when the subconscious mind notices something that is in some way of importance, it drawn our conscious focus. That's what I think . I mean, it's not always 11:11 for me and it is only on the clock about 50% of the time. It will work like this (for instance): I will think of a friend who I associate with a certain number and then I will see the number on a tag in front of me and then I will see the repeating number on the odometer. Flippin' weird is what it is. What's weirder is when I start seeing a friend's numbers then contact that friend to see what's up with them and they say something like, "I've been thinking about you today." But what's EVEN weirder than that was the time I was talking to my bro on the phone and I was reading some numbers on the side of an appliance and he began speaking the numbers that I was reading. I asked him where he got the numbers and he said he didn't know. Just weird stuff like that. The subconscious is ever expansive. The conscious mind is focused.

Plus, I do believe in spirit guides.

11:11 just initially stood out to you more because it is the largest number on the clock with identical digits. I promise you that you see the number 933 just as much as you see 1111, it's just when you see 1111 you think "OMG IT HAPPENED AGAIN!", not when you see any other number.
For the past two years or so I've seen 420 places just as you described you seeing 1111.
Sometimes I'll pay for something and the price will *GASP* come out to 4.20!
Does that mean that there's some sort of ganja spirit enlightening me?
No, it's a simple thing called pattern recognition which the human brain develops in the womb -.-'

I'm not saying spirits and stuff aren't real, it's just people look too far into things sometimes.
Look for enlightenment elsewhere, not through numbers because you can beat around the bush all you want, but it is all in your subconscious mind.

All of your arguments against it being subconscious make no sense. When you saw it in the phone number at the rest stop you only noticed it because it had 1111 as digits. I guarantee you if the first digits were 933 you would have been like "meh, some idiot carved his number into the wall". You having to shit wasn't subconscious, you noticing the digits was. Somebody carved that number in there, it wasn't some sort of spirit who did it to mess with you.

Some people know whats going on *wink*, glad you could join the crew. Unfortunately it's against the rules to tell other people what it is, you have to figure it out yourself.

For any of those who think it's a load of rubbish, it doesn't matter... Pick any object or symbol to increase your awareness (call it waking life lucidity) and synchronisity will jump at the opportunity to grab your attention. People associate 11:11 with it, therefore that's what they get. Doesn't mean its not useful!!

Who cares if its a coincidence, the point of the matter is that you find it important. If you find it important then you'll find something by paying more attention. Nothing is random, try thinking of something completely random... impossible!! Your mind will make the links to create meaning from it, just pay attention to it.

I've have also experience the 1111 phenomenon, even before I heard about it over the internet. Since then I researched it, but like most people I didn't really find any hard evidence behind it.

Whatever it may be people can't eliminate the possibility that 1111 stands as a icon to those who have a strong desire to believe in the paranormal. And so they turn to confirmation bias and decieve themselves.

However this is just one theory. I believe people should have open minds about these kinds of things, no matter what side you're on in a argument.

Agree, take my advice and don't believe in anything but perceive everything You will never get disappointed, nor will you ever expect something from your research.

I used to have the 1:11 and 11:11 phenomena happen to me last year. I liked it, when something unusual happens to you go on and explore it. Internet is your best friend for that, its full of garbage with some truth in it.

Look I'm usually not a sceptic but this is one thing I disagree with. As humans we are hardwired to see patterns in things. So you pick up on this 11:11 thing and suddenly you're seeing it everwhere. That is only because you are giving these numbers a special position over regular numbers. You find it strange everytime you see this numbers and so will subconciously seek them out.

Its weeks but mabye a coincidence anyway I always seem to see the sane number as the hour or reversed these past few days for example 13:13 or 13:31 it's kinda eerie I check the time twice an hour and it is almost like that every time
