      Lucid/Dream Recall History

I recall up to 6 dreams a day usually about 3 lucid. I can remember dreams months back and sometimes years. Without taking any notes though I voice record all my dreams now.

      Current Techique

I'm not familiar with dream techniques so I'll just list what I've done

I have started and finished a dream a day apart sometimes a week

My dreams will sequel each other as in dreams up to even a week or some months apart.

I can tell when I'm in another dream even if its the same night without waking up at least from what I can recall.

I naturally do reality checks lately levitating is my favourite

I can wake up from a dream and slip back into a Lucid dream or even continue the same one.

I can be aware of a dream and reality at the same time.

I can have a stage where I am paralysed where I can will myself to sink in the bed. Here I go into a dark void which I travel through extremely fast until I am in a Lucid dream.

I can fly and make things appear and change things

When paralysed I can will myself to float above my body where I can see my body but I cant go far before I'm back in the void. I can tell I'm dreaming as everything is different.

I can set a dream scene by saying stories in my head or repeating a sentence to myself two times just before I go to sleep.

When extremely tired I can close my eyes and see pictures like film just appear in front of my eye lids.

      I think that's everything.

      Homework

Your Homework For Lesson I is to:

Start your own workbook thread in this subforum (here) (x)
Start a Dream Journal and record each dream. (x)
Record the times that you naturally go to bed and wake-up, and list it in your workbook. (x)

Times I go to bed and wake up

Usually bed time is 9pm and wake time is 5am. Lately ive been falling asleep between 3 to 5pm and waking up 1am to 5am to 6.30am.

Do reality checks whenever you experience something weird throughout the day, and list it in your workbook. (x)

      Reality checks through Day

Since I didn't know what would count as weird I did a reality check every time I saw a dream sign. I did two reality checks. Twice from seeing a car where I tried to levitate and took notice of the smells and sounds and sensations I could feel. These were quite surprising even going as detailed as feeling the hair against my face or the wind touching different areas of my body.

I soon noticed I was noticing things more that I otherwise wouldn't such as the feel of the key in the door. It was quite fascinating.

Write a list for why you want to lucid dream (for motivation), and plan out what you want to do in your next lucid dream. (x)

Why I want to Lucid Dream

I find the idea of practising things in a safe environment interesting. I would like to practice situations I'm often afraid of as well as get better at sex without being a slut.

I want to use a dream a night to pray to and worship god.

I find the idea of tasting and experiencing things I've never experienced fascinating.

I like the idea of having goals every night making my dreaming a valuable time.

I would like to stop disturbing dreams featuring incest and bestiality.

Next Lucid dream I would like to fix the Hubble telescope. (x)

Establish a night-time routine (Include reading your dream journal, making sure to leave your DJ open to a blank page for quicker dictations). (x)

      Nightly routine

I will read through some of my dream entries and check through the dream Views sight for any messages or such. I will put my voice recorder next to bed in order to record my dreams the next morning.

      Optional:
Start a DreamViews Dream Journal (here). (x)
Start posting snippets from your dreams in the Dream Snippets Thread to get feedback on your dreams! (x)
Start practicing awareness from Lesson IV(x)
If you notice any recurring elements in your dream journal (aka dream signs), list it in your workbook.(x)

      What I've Done Today

I have read through whole sign up thread and have introduced myself as well as tried to help some people by telling of my experiences.

I have made my work book and read through lesson one as well as glossary

I Have checked DVA lesson times and checked out apprenticeship program. Note to self must work really hard on work book to increase chances of being chosen. .

I have read lesson 1 and copied down homework to my work book.

I am now in the process of reading tutorials.

I have also recorded all my dreams by voice recorder and put snippets of dream in my dream diary until I have time to record more properly.

Finished tutorials on awareness. I can feel that I'm starting to get overwhelmed with study so I'm finished for today.

      My goals for tommorow

Read tutorial on Dream control and stabilization ?(x)
Do some home work for lesson one (x)
Join Yoga class and read up on sign up thread(x)
Record dreams on voice recorder (x)
Finish editing one Dream journal entry (x)
Post one whole dream on Dream journal (x)

      Awareness Notes

Real life awareness is fascinating to me. For someone with mental illness I often feel like my life is a dream that is just passing me by. e.g dream walking. Perhaps being aware of life will help me have a better quality of life and help me feel more in control.

The alarms through the night is something I'm not sure about. I'm worried it will disturb my sleep patterns which take me weeks to fix.

3rd tutorial is very interesting. Questioning your reality cause and effect I must try this. Note Try Dream Yoga but not until after this class as it will be to over whelming for you.

Yoga is AWESOME definitely doing class will just take it easy.

Lucid dreaming seems to be having a strange and unexpected change in me. Since joining this sight I am less afraid of what people think and am being more true to myself in daily life even setting boundaries and sticking to them.

Monkey sphere article was interesting and accurate
I often experience emotion in dreams
The last article could be for a goal of mine to use dream control to control my real life.

Getting overwhealmed again will do more tomorrow notes ended wednesday 15 August. 2012

Oh that's good to know, Starlia Setting boundaries in real life can be tricky and scary. I think I can identify with that.

      What I did today

I was mentally unwell yesterday so will try and do a bit extra today.

      Goals

Record all dreams for last night and night before on voice recorder. (x)
Read tutorial on Dream incubation and DILD (x)
      Finish all homework (x)
      Check DVA lesson times (x)
      Finish goals for Wednesday (x)

      Notes for dreams

I was having trouble with my dreams fading as I was close to waking up. By using some techniques I found on the awareness tutorial I was able to hang onto and go back into the dream. One thing I did often was take mouthfuls of bark from trees. Something I swore I would never do. my mouth was full of chips of wood taste and I could smell something as well pine? I spat it out as I walked it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. makes me think of an experiment

Try tasting anything and everything unusual in my dreams and record my senses on the object.

have tasted pine tasted like pine and had the texture of pine needles but very soft.

I tried rubbing my hands together, examining my hands and using voice commands and touching every object. It was a loosing battle but it seems it brought me time. Though they didn't feel effective.

      Dream Incubation Notes and DELID

Had to laugh when the lady said repeating a couple of sentences to yourself won't work as I do this all the time successfully.

Daydreaming hmm interesting I will have to give this a try.

DEILD sounds tiring I don't think this is something I will practice. Though I think I do it naturally at times.

You wake naturally through the night? That explains why I can tell my dreams apart with no memory of ever waking. It seems I have excellent dream recall as well as I can remember up to 6 dreams a day and 16 in 3 days before forgetting details. It seems this is an advantage. Though I wonder why I don't remember other everyday things so well perhaps my mind has put dreams on top of the priority list hmmm.

      Yoga Specific tasks

Take sageus WILD class after signing up for dream Yoga (x)
Create dream Yoga work book (x)

      Goals for tomorrow

Write Dream entry in Dream Journal (o)
Record all Dreams by voice recorder. (x)
Start on Lesson 2 and homework (o)
Read next part of tutorial DILD (o)
Do some dream yoga lesson (o) have quit dream yoga as to overwealming
Do some wild lesson (o) have quit wild lesson as to overwealming
Check class chat times (x) missed them

Last work book entry for 17 august 2012

Your Homework For Lesson II is:

Study up on all of the induction techniques listed here and find one that suits you.
Practice your chosen induction technique for at least 2 weeks (although longer is preferred) before changing it to something else or ruling out that it's not working.
Continue to post all of your experiences, even failed ones, into your workbook.

      Optional:
Discuss your chosen technique with the teachers by posting in your workbook. There are lots of ways to go about each technique, we will be able help you find a method that suits you!
Choose a second (and possibly third) induction technique that compliments your first. For example, if you chose DILD you will also be able to perform WILD.
If possible, it is highly advised to include WBTB into your routine.

      Induction techniques I have studied

      DILD
      MILD
      WILD
      DEILD
      WBTB
      Dream Yoga
