      Long-Term Goals:
-Use dreams to improve waking life
      -Practice trumpet

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
-I vividly recall dreams once in a blue moon...lucidity occurred all of one time years ago

      Current Technique:
-Don't know yet; focusing on recall first

      Lesson I
-It will be several days before I can wake up without an alarm. I'll record wake-up times but they won't be natural.

Welcome Kael! Focusing on recall is the absolutely the way to go. It's such a strong base for becoming familiar with what your dreams are actually like and beginning to understand the nuances of your dreaming mind.

My #1 piece of advice here is always to make a serious, concerted effort at dream journaling. I started basically from zero, thinking that I hardly ever remembered any dreams. Determined journaling gradually drew everything out of the darkness. Anything you can remember, write it down, even if it's a fragment or just an emotion. Your effort will pay off.

If you have trouble with building your recall, don't hesitate to ask for help. We've all been there before and occasionally find ourselves back there again.

      Welcome to the class, Kael

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Well I've been sick and haven't kept fantastic track of my sleep schedule as I've been dropping to sleep at random times. Will get back to it tonight. I don't remember my dreams from the night before last but here's what little of last night's dream I do remember: Dream Journal | Lucidipedia.com

I hope you get well soon! And it's alright, you need to take care of yourself before anything else. Good news though, many people have had spontaneous lucids and awesome dreams while they were sick, so you might get lucky!

Ugh I don't recall last night's dreams. Sleep was restless 'cause people I'm sharing a hotel room with apparently sleep best with the tv on loud >.<

Oh god I can't stand trying to go to sleep when people watch TV. Or need lights on. I know I for sure need a good night sleep for my recall to be anything above crappy.

So how long do you have to be in that hotel?

Dream Journal | Lucidipedia.com This morning's emotionally charged dream. I went to bed at 1:17, had much trouble falling asleep as I suddenly lost my writer's block on a story I'm writing xD My alarm went off at 8:30 and I was remembering a dream, but I was extremely tired and fell asleep, and now I've lost it. I finally woke at 9-something.

Hey Kael, I was wondering. Is this normal recall for you? Or has it had any drastic changes from before? Perhaps you underwent some lifestyle or habit change that could cause a decline in recall.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Dreams from night before last:

paigeyemps, I'm certain my recall will get much better when my fiance and I can finally have our own room. Sleeping with the tv on (which our roommate needs for some reason) is having a bad effect. The night before last went well because the roommate was out for most of the night and we had the tv off.

Dream Journal | Lucidipedia.com I don't know if I should classify some of these dreams I have as half-lucid or non-lucid. So far I've called them all non-lucid.

Hi Kael, I would murder. I don't understand people that do this. LOL.

I think if you are unsure then they could be non-lucids. Just skimming through I didn't see anything were you noticed you were dreaming while in the dream.
