      Neplock's WorkBook

Hello, My name is Travis and i have been aware of lucid dreaming for about a year and a half. I am extremely interested in What dreams have to offer in terms of entertainment and Subconscious exploration. I would also like to utilize lucid dreaming to cure future anxieties through rehearsal. I have had 10 lucid dreams all DILDs. I recently had a lucid dream that intrigued, and persuaded me to continue my pursuit of lucid dreaming "mastery". It was the most profound Lucid dream i have had and sort of opened my eyes to the possibilities. I enjoy this site a lot and it seems like a great place to learn from.

      Reality Checks:
      -Check Hands/Count Fingers.
-Question Reality and examine my self along with my environment.
-Check time and text to see if it changes on a second glance.
-Squeeze my nose and try to breathe.

      Dream Signs:
-Dream scene resembling that of a video game.

      Short-Term Goals:
      -Improve Dream Recollection.
      -Succeed in a WILD attempt.
      -Successfully incubate a dream.

      Long-Term Goals:
-Acquire the ability to Lucid dream 5 times a week.
-Recall a minimum of 4 dreams each night.
      -Learn to have DEILD.

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
-Currently my recall isn't great, though i am working on it.
      3 dream fragments a night.
-All time best 7 dreams in one night.

      Current Technique:
      -DILD, incorporating MILD.
      -Starting WILD.

Hye Neplock/Travis! Welcome to the Intro Class, fellow Texan

Great start on the workbook. My first LDs were DILDs too. So what was this profound LD you mentioned, if you don't mind sharing?

      Hi Neplock! welcome.

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

      Hello Paigeyemps, thanks!

      @ OpheliaBlue:

I found out how to reply lol, it was as simple as double clicking Reply to thread...

but now that i can reply and continue this workboob =)

In response to the Lesson I Homework:

i Naturally go to sleep around 10-11pm and wake up at 6am
I need to incorporate WBTB. I am having trouble staying up lol, maybe if i put my alarm clock across the room in some hard to reach place.

I do not experience anything i consider weird in real life so i usually just do reality checks to dream signs and when i see or hear the words dream, sleep, and reality check.

The List of reasons to lucid dream and my plans for things to do in them, should be posted here or written in my DJ? same with the routine?

      lol!

Yea putting your alarm clock somewhere far can do the trick. One thing I do is I set multiple alarms a few minutes apart, and it really helps wake me up especially when I subconsciously wait for the next alarm to go off. Oooh, I heard from a friend that there ae some digital alarms that let you do puzzles in order to turn it off. That could be interesting tool

haha yeah that was a typo i couldn't edit.

thanks for the advice, i should definitely start setting more than one alarm.

BTW i had an interesting dream last night. I dreampt of attempting a WILD. In real life i tried a WILD with WBTB and failed. In the dream my alarm clock was a bubble filled with pill capsules. I rolled out of bed and laid on the floor for 45 minutes, then went back to bed. But i think doing that in my dream immediately changed the dream scene and i was into a video game kind of world.

Haha you laid on the floor for 45 minutes? x)

I would definitely suggest, in general, to practice doing reality checks every time you wake up! No matter where you are. This can greatly help catch false awakenings in the future

well in the dream the what seemed like 45 minutes was probably more like 15 seconds. Also i have started doing RCs every time i awaken, but i always forget to do it until im fully awake and have had my first cup of coffee.

@OpheliaBlue in response to Lesson II

I am aware of all the techniques mentioned and have used DILD & MILD ever since i started (i was always intimidated by WILD lol). i am now trying to use WILD and am very unfamiliar with it. Right now i am rereading the part in ETWOLD and reading Sageous' WILD tutorial to learn more about it. i have been lazy and have not made a nightly routine that i perform consistently but i am going to do that now.

With DILD+MILD as my primary technique and adopting WILD as my secondary, i have a question on DEILD. when trying to DEILD do you actually wake up but then just go to sleep without moving? is it ok to open your eyes for a split second?

My Last question is about HI. I am still a little confused about how to tell if what i see is HI, maybe since i have this confusion i haven't seen it yet? is it a distinct Experience?

      Thanks Guys =D
