2.Start a Dream Journal and record each dream. [√]
3.Record the times that you naturally go to bed and wake-up, and list it in your workbook.[√]
4.Do reality checks whenever you experience something weird throughout the day, and list it in your workbook.[√]
5.Write a list for why you want to lucid dream (for motivation), and plan out what you want to do in your next lucid dream.[√]
6.Establish a night-time routine (Include reading your dream journal, making sure to leave your DJ open to a blank page for quicker dictations).[√]

      LESSON II:
1.Study up on all of the induction techniques listed here and find one that suits you.[√ ]
2.Practice your chosen induction technique for at least 2 weeks (although longer is preferred) before changing it to something else or ruling out that it's not working.[√]
3.Continue to post all of your experiences, even failed ones, into your workbook.[√]

Welcome, ragehart! It's good to have you in the class.

I'd love to offer you lots of pointers on setting up your workbook, but I see that you've done a fine job without any help from me.

I was curious -- were your previous lucid dreams DILDs? Were they spontaneous or lucids that you were actively trying to achieve? And did you employ any form of WBTB (wake back to bed)?

Just keep working through the lessons and post up your progress. Looking forward to seeing how things go for you!

Thanks for the great reply sir

My previous LDs were about a few months ago, its because I stop for a few months because of frustration and I want to start again , I've used the DILD technique, without a WBTB aid.

my First two LDs is just because of sudden realization, I didn't use the WBTB method because I didn't knew it last time.
      Here's the 2 LD of mine :

      LD:1
I was walking in the park with my classmates and suddenly became lucid, I was so excited that i didn't do reality checks, The first thing I did was , summon a dream character, I held my head and close my eyes, and think that a DC will appear in front of me, and it was a success, after that, I flew through the sky , It was a great feeling though, but after 3 or 4 seconds, I suddenly woke up -.- .

      LD2:
I was walking in a road in a normal day, I suddenly became lucid and didn't do the reality checks again -.- , I shoot a Kamekameha in the sky and I woke up ,

My LDs was like a sudden realization, I wonder why .

I have a few questions sir

1.What am I going to do with the night time routine? except reading my DJ ?
2.Do you believe in shared dreaming ?
3.What's your main goal in Lucid Dreaming ?

      thanks again sir

You're most welcome! Nice LDs, and great dream control. I assure you that I was not shooting Kamehameha waves and flying around in my first few lucids.

Anything that gets you into the right frame of mind to recall and become lucid in your dreams is good! You can practice relaxation techniques, visualization, mantras... you have a lot of options.

An excellent basic framework can be found in RareCola's nighttime routine guide: http://www.dreamviews.com/attaining-...-lucidity.html

I believe that the experience of shared dreaming exists. I tend to disregard supernatural explanations for most LD phenomena, though, so my belief is that these experiences are down to people becoming close, knowing one another well, and becoming attuned to one another's dream lives. Sort of like how you might finish the sentences of a spouse or very close friend.

That's only my opinion, though. It's not of much value and is always subject to change. Much more important will be what you discover and decide for yourself!

Ooh, good one. I'd say to play, learn about myself, and experience the fullness of life. Long term, I love the idea of accessing my inner creativity in this unusual, more intimate way.

I just remembered a forgotten LD of mine, its the 3rd, This happens when I'm at the hospital, I got operated because of appendicitis in IRL.

      LD3: (08-13-2012)
I wake up at my hospital room and suddenly realized that I am dreaming, this is the 3rd time I didn't do RCs -.- , I Punched the wall beside me and, it breaks, I made a big hole into it.The next thing I want to do is, to go into a war where I am the general , I close my eyes think of the scenery, and spin. When I opened my eyes, I became sad, Im not in war, rather, in a Football Field, My crush was beside me, She said "What are you doing?" , "nothing, just having fun" I said.

When I was about to do my second attempt, The nurse in the hospital wake me up. He removed something attached from my body, It really hurts. -.-

I just found my old DJ(I stop LDing for months and just returned), I saw it having 2-5 dreams per night, but now my present DJ have only , 1-2 per night . Im not a coffee drinker that time, but now, Im addicted a bit. Im having a hard time recalling. I became curious about it . Ill be glad to have any answer

Sure thing, Rageheart. Xanous has the most expertise in playing with caffeine, but let me tell you what I know.

First, the bad news. Caffeine does appear to interfere with sleep. Most importantly, REM sleep (the richest area for dreaming) seems to be decreased in caffeine drinkers. Here's one example of a small study that looked into this : Caffeine Cuts into Sleep, Even Hours Later | LiveScience

So there may be something to what you're experiencing. One thing to consider is perhaps pushing your coffee drinking to the early morning hours so give it the smallest possible chance to affect that night's sleep. If you think that you can break away from caffeine entirely, that could be even better.

There's some good news about caffeine, though: clever, judicious use of caffeine can actually help with lucid dreaming, although this is pretty advanced stuff. Xanous has induced a large number of lucid dreams by having a small amount of caffeine (perhaps half a cup of coffee) at his wake-back-to-bed. Like I said, though, this is advanced work, and probably best saved for later in your practice.

I hope that helps answer your question!

Congratulations, Ragehart! Wow, 2 in one night is really outstanding work! It took me a very long time before I ever had multiple lucids in a single night.

You are doing great. Don't worry about control ebbing and flowing -- you've done these lucid feats before and you can certainly do them again.

That's cool. There are times when I RC my way into a dream and other times where I "just know" that it's all a dream. Being able to tell the difference like you did is a sign of heightened awareness skills and getting a really good feel for recognizing the dream. The RCs still have a great role to play for those moments where you "kinda" think you might be dreaming. If you can manage to hit an RC in that moment, it will pull you hard into full lucidity. Pretty amazing feeling, and quite a lot of fun.

Congrats again... keep up the excellent work!

I have an LD this early morning, teachers please explain what happen:

I'm watching a foreigner play GTA-SA, He is riding a motorcycle and he is so fast, And I said "I want to try it on my dreams", then I suddenly got teleported in a Bridge, and I have a motorcycle, I ride it and I'm so fast, I suddenly realized "I don't know how to ride a motorcycle in real life" , then I became lucid, I tried to fly my motorcycle and it was a success, when I'm in mid-air, I suddenly got teleported in a bed, in a different room, then my legs still feel the flying thing, but my upper body is paralyzed, I tried to stabilize the dream, but I can't really move, My heart is beating so fast, and I tried to levitate, I can't, It looks like my Spirit is seperating from my body, and I stop for a second, Then I tried it again, It's a success, I tried levitating when I am standing and I failed, and when I am about to go outside, I woke up.

      thanks teachers

It sounds like it started as a typical DILD but then you go sucked back into sleep paralysis. It's sort of like a half awake, half asleep stage. It happens as you are falling alseep and/or waking up. I am not sure but it looks like you struggled against it. Next time try to be more relaxed and either focus on your feet moving out of bed and touching to floor or try to visualize a new scene.
