Times I naturally go to bed and wake up

10:30pm I attempt to sleep. I spend about an hour before that trying to relax.
---- I often wake up every few hours during the night naturally ---
And I wake up at 5:00am.
It seems that I can recall dreams almost every night if I wake up at 5am.

I have never done a reality check before. I am starting now. - I am going to use my tattoo on my hand, which is a set of 3 unique stars.

I am going to seriously question my reality before checking. I want to say in my head.. "hmm, I wonder if I am dreaming. This could be a dream. *looks around* I think I will do a RC!"
"no? not dreaming? Hm, if I was dreaming the tattoo on my hand would be something else, or missing. And its clearly there right now."

Why do I want to lucid dream?
I would like to create worlds. Amazing beautiful places - and return to them.
I would like to be able to play with my boy, Ruckus when I please in dream world.
I want to lucid dream to better understand my mind, and who I am.
      Because I can.
      Enlightenment.
To be happy with myself and in my head.

For my next dream, Id like to return here Lucid Dreaming - Dream Views - AmbientXplosion - Dream Journals
to my first dream world Ive created.
And achieve lucidity. I would like to enjoy the amazing surrounds and interact with my environment and explore this world

my routine--- 9:00pm Everything is taken care of from the day. I start to relax. I turn off lights, light candles and play relaxing music. I spend this time relaxing and visiting dream views. I look at pictures of places resembling the dream worlds I would like to visit. I take this time to read my dream journal, reflect on my dream signs and tell myself " I will remember my dreams tonight, i will become lucid, etc"

dream signs--- my dog Ruckus will likely be my most regular dream signs. He is no longer with me on this realm, but he visits my dreams often.

------I think that has lesson one covered! its almost 10:30, will try to sleep before long.

      Okay This is lesson two.
I have been working on it a long time now, but I have not posted in my work book like I was suppose to.
I was spending time working on my dream recall mostly, as Ive been a daily "stoner" for years now.
Through this past month I have developed pretty good dream recall. I can sometimes remember up to three dreams a night.
I plan to copy my hand written DJ into the DJ section here shortly.

I have been doing reality checks. DILD technique. I also do wake back to bed. I go to sleep about 10:30, wake at 4:30, 5:45 and 6:30. The reason for this is that through experimentation I have realized I start being able to recall dreams, and have more interactive dreams after 4:30 am. - so after 6 hours of sleep or so.

The reality checks I use are a hold nose try to breath approach, and to look at a clock if its readily available.
I have achieve lucidity one time so far. But have had many dreams talking about trying to be lucid, telling a dream character about lucid dreaming, etc.
The one time I became lucid didnt last long. I did an RC in my dreams and got excited to see I was dreaming. I told three DCs right away and I woke back up right after!

I think I've concluded lesson two here, following up with many DJ entries.
