Just sort of a short history of me and LDing: When I was about 6 or 7, I was walking through my house when I looked at my father's bookcase and saw that he had a book called, "Lucid Dreaming" by Stephen LaBerge (I now am acquainted with LaBerge, and if I hadn't read his books I wouldn't be where I am today). I saw it had a cool (for a 6 year old) design on the front and I wondered what it meant. I found my dad and asked him what lucid dreaming meant. He said it was the ability/phenomenon of being self-aware in a dream, or being able to control yourself in a dream and not only realize that it was a dream when I woke up. I thought that was really cool and asked him if he had ever done it. He said he learned how to do it on his own when he was a kid and did all kinds of cool stuff such as flying, etc. I immediately thought that I should do it, but being the little kid that I was I forgot about it the next day. It wasn't until about last December that I saw the LaBerge book on the bookshelf again and I asked myself what it meant. I then remembered what my dad had told me and I researched it on the internet. I found DV and I've lurked on here ever since now. So yeah. That's my story. Hope you guys can help me and I'll be posting any new info on what I attempt here in my workbook. |

Thanks! The thing about the door is basically if I'm going through a door, I just tap it before I open it to see if my hand goes through. I find myself going through a lot of doors in dreams and IWL so it forms a good habit. |

Ah I see, never tried that before! I usually stick with poking a finger through my hand or just plugging my nose which always seem to worm well for me. Oh, and don't forget to RC everytime you wake up so you have better chances of catching FA's |

August 28 - Sorry I've been offline, the first day of the school year for me was today and that throws my virtual life way off, but now it's back on schedule. I tried entering a longer dream that I had two nights ago and my token expired, but instead of copying-pasting it, I just refreshed it. So I had very poor dream recall for the past two nights. I picked up a bottle of 100 B6 tablets to take (one) before bed. Last night I tried it but I had no recall of any of my dreams. I will try it again tonight and try to recall as much as possible and DJ it. |
|
August 28 (Later) - I just drank some Apple Juice and am going to take some B6 later. I hope I get my first lucid! I have a free app on my phone that just vibrates every 30 minutes and reminds me to do a check even during school and it really has helped me get into the routine of RCing. My first goal in a LD is to get up and walk around. I don't want to ruin the experience by trying to fly or something dumb like that. |
|
August 29 - I had an interesting dream last night (pulled a dumb move, you can read more about it in my DJ, comments much appreciated! ) and had amazing recall compared to the two nights before today. I wonder if the apple juice helped? I have a very good feeling that I am getting closer and closer to my first LD and I am starting to mix techniques for greater success! I'll be back on before bed to log all of my techniques currently. |
|
August 29 (Later) - I am repeating last night's process almost identically, except for the adding of one tablet of B6. I will report tomorrow morning how it went. |

Im a beggining Dream Tamer if you will, and I would love some personal expiriance tips! (ive read all the guides on DV) |

Hi! I'm not really the best person to ask because I haven't actually had a lucid dream before, (This is a good place to ask questions/for tips: Attaining Lucidity) but one tip that really helps is remembering to reality check often. If you don't do it habitually (on a schedule) it kills the point. For example, I have an app on my iPhone that reminds me every 30 minutes. Other than that, just have fun mixing techniques and another interesting thing to check out is dream aids. (Lucid Aids) |

I forgot to use the B6 (lol) but it went well overall. I had an odd dream, but it was fun. It was my first one involving anything from DV. You can check out more about it in my DJ. I seriously will remember to use B6 tonight and I am going to WBTB again. I'm so excited! |

You've never had a lucid dream? Ive only had one but I wasn't aware of the AWESOMENESS that the dream was capable of so I ruined it I'm really hoping to have anotheroneso that I can take full advantage! |

I had my first lucid last night! I will chronicle it in my dream journal today but it was weird, intense and it was induced in an extremely odd fashion. Thanks for all the support leading up to it! |

Just tried B6 last night, had no dream recall. I seem to not be able to recall my dreams when I use it. |
|
Hey! Congrats on the lucid dream! That was pretty cool, I must admit. Not bad at all for a first time |

September 4 - Used 100mg of B6 again, had hazy dream recall. I'll put the snippet I can remember in my DJ. It seems to be progressing well enough though, so I'll continue with my B6 regimen. |
|
Trying a later bedtime tonight, hope it doesn't affect my regimen that much. |
