As for sleeping times, I usually go to bed around 9-10 and get up at 6 during the week, and go to sleep at 12-1 and get up 8-9 on weekends. |

I want to lucid dream because the experience is simply amazing. We spend about a third of our lives sleeping, and why should we lay dormant when we can do something like that? |
I didn't perform a single reality check today. I am putting this here in the hope that the humiliation will cure me of my laziness. |
This morning, I think I've recognized a dream sign for the first time. Over the past few days, almost every dream I've had has had my friend in it. I've started doing reality. He is every time I see him, and I also have been doing better with RCs in general. |
Like I had hoped, my recall has been getting a lot better. I've remembered at least one dream for the past few nights, and I even remembered two the night before last. I have also been doing a lot better with RCs, using my newly established dream sign, and doing one whenever I think of it. Also, I am taking a break from meditation. It's really nice to do, but by the end of the day(school working out homework etc) I'm just wiped. |

Today, I started trying out ADA. I tried focusing on everything a few times, when I had the chance. I feel like so far it is going well. On another note, I got lazy early this morning(3am) and didn't write down a dream, so I'm shooting for a little more self humiliation, as it seemed to work last time. Also, I feel like posting on here every day has been a great motivation booster, which has been a struggle in the past, so I will continue to do so. |
This weekend was a busy one. I got in as many reality checks as I could, and kept strong with ADA. I've noticed that a working out is a great time to practice ADA. Also, I have recently started driver's ed, and I think driving might also provide a unique opportunity in terms of awareness. Along with these things My recall has also been improving, one of the dreams I remembered this weekend was a page and a half long. I don't think it'll be much longer before I have a LD. |

Great to have you here killertwinkie! Keep up the good work! |
Why, thank you very much! It's great to be here. |
ADA has been going very well. I have been able to keep it up almost all of the time when I'm not focusing on anything specific (mostly during class lol), but once I start to do a specific task (like homework) I lose that awareness. I will be trying to keep it up a lot if not all of the time. Today during driver's ed, I held that awareness the entire time (2 1/2 hours!), which is the longest I've ever held it. |
That's awesome! One good way to have some awareness with consuming tasks like homework is to acknowledge and have the awareness when the task begins or ends. |
Thanks for the advice! I was having some issues with that today. When I started doing anything that really took my focus I just sort of lost awareness. Tomorrow, I am going to try a lot harder to have that awareness going when I start doing something. |
Keeping that awareness going is a lot harder than I was expecting. I can keep it up for the first few minutes of doing something, but then it just sort of slips away. |
Same for a lot of us, but I think it's still good if one remembers during the day that one is supposed to have the awareness in the first place. Eventually these habits and critical thinking carry over to the dream state. |
That is extremely helpful. Thanks |

Over the past few days, I think that ADA has been going a bit better. I have been able to keep it up for a good chunk consuming tasks, and I have even found it to be kind of helpful during tests (I spotted some mistakes that I otherwise wouldn't of in math). My recall has also been improving, and I have been keeping up with reality checks. |
Also, I updated the original post to include RCs and ADA. |
I DID IT! Last night, I had a lucid dream! It was a bit strange, and I'll probably be making a thread about it later on. Basically, I did a WILD when I was already in a normal dream, and this evolved into a lucid one that involved phasing through walls, summoning fire, and flying. |
I feel like now that I've had a lucid dream, the frequency of them will come with persistence and time. Now that I've made that step, I want to focus on making my dreams more vivid. |

It's been a while since I was last on here, and my motivation recently has take. A bit of a hit. Thankfully, a lucid that I had last night snapped me out of it. |
Ah, nothing motivates better than the taste of an ld. Congrats! |
Also, I think I am going to go about my practices a little more loosely. It's great that I've started having lucid dreams, but trying that hard for just a few weeks really burned me out. I want to be able to keep it up, so I think I may slow the pace a bit. |
I think that during all of that time I "wasn't practicing", I really was, unintentionally. I think that ADA kind of stuck, which is a good thing in my opinion. Hey, I had a lucid dream right? |
