      Cinder's Workbook

      Reality Checks:
      - Pinching nose and breathing through it
      - Looking at my hand and counting fingers (even though they just tend to look normal but get me lucid anyways...)
      - Try to see if my memories match up
      - Try to fly

      Dream Signs:
      - My parents
      - Videogames
      - Popular media

      Short-Term Goals:
      - Write in my dream journal every day [22/31]
      - Fix my sleep cycle [1/31]
      - Remember to do reality checks when I wake up every day [22/31]
      - Meet the Voice.
      - Perform mindfulness meditation in my dream for a dream-hour.

      Long-Term Goals:
      - Actually learn to WILD
      - Become meaningfully lucid in my dream, where I can reflect and not feel like "whew, I was lucid for a moment there!"

      Lucid/Dream Recall History:
      - I am almost always slightly lucid in my dreams, but I end up finding myself not lucid enough to reflect on events happening to me.
      - My dream recall is kind of bad.

      Current Technique:
      - DILD. Not so much as a technique as that I am always lucid, just usually not in meaningful degree.

      Regular Sleep Time

I'm trying to go to bed around 11PM and waking up at 7AM.

      Night-time Routine

Browse Dreamviews and other LD communities a bit, prepare a blank piece of paper to draw my mind map, and read my dream journal.

      Reasons I Want To LD

I want to see interesting dreamscapes and explore exotic places, as well as have conversations and perform feats not possible in real life. So if I become lucid I wouldn't actually have any plans except to try to boost my awareness right now, so that I don't lose my lucidity even as I go with the flow.

      Lucid Dream Information

      Powers

I occasionally try to use powers whether or not I'm lucid. I think it's important that I stay within my constraints, because otherwise I look stupid and my powers don't reliably work, and then I lose my lucidity. I can always branch out later.

      Slow Flight/Gliding

Flying and gliding comes naturally to me. There's not much to say. I have never tried to fly quickly before, and they tend to be an extension of my ability to reduce gravity's influence.

      Super jump

      I can fall more slowly.

      Mirror travel

I can travel to Parabola through all reflective surfaces. Presumably. I haven't tried it much, but smacking your face into glass is still less embarrassing than straining and trying to set someone on fire.

      Headquarter: Parabola, Mirror-world

In all the mirrors of all dreamscapes there is a path to Parabola (yes, it's from Fallen London), a world that offer entry into all other worlds in my dream. I wasn't there long enough to gather enough information.

      Noteworthy DC

The Mirror-voice: Not really related to mirrors. Gender unknown. Introduced me to Parabola when they called out for help in a glass tank's reflection of me. I went to their house, but I woke up before they returned. Probably just a normal human being.

      Noteworthy Dreamscapes

My World: A dream reflection of reality. I assume most of my dreams are set here unless proven otherwise. Feature familiar buildings with slight changes.

The Voice's World: A normal, urban world just like my world. Not much is known about it except the The Voice called me here.

      Noteworthy Location

The Voice's House: A normal house. It is in an urban part of the city it's in, with tall but dilapidated buildings crowding together. Entrance is through a small iron folding-door. Upon entering there is a room with a dimension of approx. 3x6 meter squared, with entrance on a corner of a long wall. The room is split width-wise with an "arch" of supporting concrete pillars. On the partition opposite to the entrance is a big table with some vague studio equipment. There is a another iron folding door on the opposite side of the entrance with a little raised elevation on each partition. Presumably it is part of the Voice's house since i didn't see a bed in the first room. Not sure if the upper levels belong to the Voice as well. Will have to explore more.

      Current Project: The Voice's Plea

I'll call them a better name than The Voice once they tell me what their name is...

I was called by the Voice to their world, and also introduced to Parabola.

Me and my mom waited for them to arrive in their house, but I woke up before they came.

My goal right now is to return there and meet up with the person behind the voice. Preferably without my mom distracting me.

      Welcome to the class!

Having at least some degree of lucidity is a great starting point. What you need to do from there is to center yourself and try to enhance and retain that state as much as possible. One way to do that would be to come up with goals for your future lucids and follow them. Once you have goals it's much easier to maintain lucidity .
Only the ladder is real. The climb is all there is.

I don't feel like I'm lucid enough to carry out any goal, though.

Give it a try! During the day and before bed think of a single thing you would like to do. Let it be something that will be exciting for you to do. Focus your determination on that and on remembering and accomplishing this your next lucid.

So I had a lucid dream last night, a voice from another world asked me to step through the mirror, travel through the land between mirror ("Parabola", based on the same thing in Fallen London) and help them. So now I have an HQ of sorts (wasn't in there long enough to stabilize the features of Parabola though) and a goal to follow since I woke up before the voice came back to their apartment.
