      Reality checking

Been reading a bit... I'm still not sure about reality checks though... What's the best way to do them, and is there any specific time when you should (e.g. when something happens), or regularly?
      Thanks

I just do a RC every time i think of it.
I consider that I might be dreaming and then i do the nose pinch RC and look at my environment, maybe also at my hands.
it is indeed easier said than done

Randomly throughout your day, just stop and take a step back for a second. Look around you, observe everything and take note of how everything just 'sits' or 'is'. For example, if your walking down a hall and stop, look around, see how the clock on the wall hangs, see how the fire bell is, look at the lighting.. etc, just take note of everything.

Once you take a quick 10-15 seconds to look around and take everything in as it is, imagine that all of a sudden you woke up in a dream. Really try and pretend it is a dream; imagine what you would do. Sometime in your dream visualization, do the reality check. I do the nose RC and count my fingers. After you spend 10-15 seconds visualizing what you would do if it were a lucid dream and did your RC, proceed with what you were doing.

This sounds like a lot, but in all reality it takes less than a minute. If you do this multiple times during the day, it will strongly reinforce that you need to be observant, and it will cross over into the dream world.

      Hope this helps!
