Are we all just dreaming our lifes?

Hey DV Board and hello from me,

I am 23y old and just read a couple of days ago about liquid dreaming.

To be honest I always had liquid dreams but I couldnīt control them. I happen to have them once monthly or maybe twice but I just suddenly realize that I am dreaming and start control my dreams like flying or superhuman abilities. There is nothing more fun than to fly in your dreams. Sometimes I have liquid nightmares too which I cannot control but thats fine. My last liquid dream I had like 2 weeks ago and my parents died during a carcrash and I woke up crying, not that good experience.
Sometimes even my daydreams become very real and I drift away in my dreamworld.... Is this unnatural?
Anyways yesterday I followed a guide of you (posted on another page) and went to bed around midnight, pretty tired. I have been not moving at all, not reacting to twitches, itching or anything else (had to swallow or however you call it a couple of times... is there a way to prevent it?) and was flowing through my fantasy like in a river. I didnt try to visualize anything particular maybe thats what I did wrong. I started to hallucinate but I kept drifting back to reality even though i tried spinning my dreambody (actually I made me spin by 2 other dreampersons which I found easier to imagine) but it didnīt help I came back to reality. After 7-8 dips into the dreamworld I gave up and went in my natural sleep position where I instantly fell asleep with slight dreams. I remember a slight dream but it wasnīt comparable to my usual liquid dreams...

Any advice you guys can give me? Obviously this was my first time to really try liquid dreaming but it seems that I have a gift to make them happen but I still expected more. Should I try the VWILD? My visualization is really strong maybe this could help and what about the RME cycles? Are they really that important? I dont mind setting an alarmclock after 4 hours of sleep but I have no idea when my cycles start and end because I usually sleep 6 hours....
I just remembered that most of your techniques I have been doing subconciously on weekends when I wake up at 7AM and then just let myself drift back to sleep and take control over the dream (: but how can you really command a dream? I really want to force some events to happen, like flying or seeing people I am missing in my life...
Oh btw I have no idea why but usually the way I enter lucid dream flying is that I start running on a green huge field with really high gras which goes up to my hip and run faster and faster until I jump up and start flying or I step into a hole and my leg twitches in real life as if I would have stepped into a real deep hole and I wake up. Happens to me once or twice a week.
Also how long do your LD go for? I have experienced mine going on for roughly an hour being semiawake.

Thanks for your time and remember, maybe our lifes are only one long dream and after we die, we wake up in another reality... Since we were born we rely on the senses that were given to us but maybe this is all just a dream (:
