      Post Frozen In the Dream

So, just about a week ago I learned about Lucid Dreaming and wanted to try it out. I started doing reality checks like every hour, everyday. For 5 days in a row, i have remembered 4 dreams and recorded them in my dream journal.
What I find odd though is on two of the dreams I become lucid right at the end of the dream and I freeze. I can not move and I just stare at what I was already looking at in the dream. While frozen I am thinking not to move so i will remember the dream when I wake up. So I go straight from dream to in my bed where I can still see the dream in my closed eye lids and I know if I open my eyes the dream is over. Is it strange for you to feel from going to the dream to already being awake in bed? It is such a strange feeling.

      Hiya, and welcome to DV

Sounds like you're getting to the point of lucidity but having trouble stabilizing, which is pretty common. The stabilizing method that's been most successful for me is closing my eyes within the dream and saying a brief affirmation (I use "Higher level lucidity"). Hope that helps Even brief lucidity within 5 days is quite promising for your future.
If you have a sense of caring for others, you will manifest a kind of inner strength in spite of your own difficulties and problems. With this strength, your own problems will seem less significant and bothersome to you. By going beyond your own problems and taking care of others, you gain inner strength, self-confidence, courage, and a greater sense of calm.Dalai Lama

As Taosaur said you may need to practice on stabalizing the dream. Some people use verbal commands while other rub their hands together or focus on their surroundings. Just focus on yourself "being" in the dream. You really just have to become aware that you are dreaming and then become very calm, and, well lucid, or aware, as to not wake up.

I hate when that happens. I still get the sluggish, disconnected body all the time. If it happens, just try to imagine moving and engaging with the scene. Or, imagine a whole new scene to reboot the dream. Remember, if you are in a dream, you don't really even have a body. You can create a new one for yourself or detach from the one you are stuck in.

Hi there! Actually, two nights ago I had the same problem. After I became lucid I wasn't able to talk or move. So instead I just screamed really loud in my head, "What the HECK!?! This is MY dream and i can do whatever I WANT to do!!!" Worked perfectly and I un-froze, hehe.
