Last night was the first time i heard about lucid dreaming, i have allways been able to recall portions of my dreams when i awake, i attempted the lucid dream last night i got past the point were i couldnt really feel the existance of my body and the dreams started apearing but i couldnt really maintain it and woke up im going to start making a dream diary so i can improve with my dream recall untill i can remember the whole thing

When you feel the LD collapsing, spin yourself around (like you would do to get dizzy) in the dream, this will help maintain the dream. Worked for me! Also, keep your journal by your bed, and write down as much as you can. It's hard to stay legible, but the more you can write down the better. You will forget it later if you don't. I had my first LD last night after a week of trying, and these tricks worked.

Thanks for the advise, i have an idea that may help with the complete dream recall, if the dream is disturbed, by an alarm clock i find it easyer to remember

That sounds like a great idea. I don't know how you would employ that, because how would you set the clock? It might stop a really good dream! I wonder if there is a product that you can place over your eyes that could detect REM, and then take some action either during or after REM. That would be cool...

there is its a sleeping mask you wear and it detects REM movements or summin and emits a light not strong enough to wake you up but strong enough to reach you in your dreams,
at the moment i wouldnt really mind interupting a good dream to be honest xD
I had my first WILD last night it was a false awakening, i was in my bed and wrote down a dream inside a dream and then fell asleep, i know it was an LD because when i woke up and there was nothing on the paper hopefully i will be able to remember to do the reality checks >.<

wow, that's pretty cool. do you know where to get something like that?

I could use the signal that turns on the lights to trigger pretty much anything! All I need to do is tap into the voltage that powers the LEDs, connect it to the trigger of a switch, and then use that switch to turn on my other source (e.g. a recording, or binaual beats). Granted, this is not easy, but I should use my EE degree for something...lol.

Not sure if i am aloud to do this but meh

you cant buy it off ebay...its 450$,NovaDreamer--Lucid Dream Induction Device--Nova Dreamer - eBay (item 250656918531 end time Jul-25-10 17:02:14 PDT)

it would probably be alot cheaper to make one yourself just get a mask and some LED lights with a time switch or summin capacitors should do the trick, not sure what size it should be i kinda slacked off during my EE course xD
