My name is Melinda, and I've known about lucid dreaming for a long time. I've tried it before with some success, but I usually wake up when I actually realize I'm dreaming. I'd like to be able to explore the dreamscape I'm in more, so that's part of the reason I'd like to learn to lucid dream. |

Sometimes I realize it and then I wake up after a couple of minutes. It's like, my thought process is "Oh hey, this is a dream. Oh cool! I'm realizing I'm dreaming! I should try something. AUGH NO MOM STOP YELLING AT ME TO WAKE UP, I'M DREAMING IT'S COOL" ... and then I wake up. I usually realize I'm dreaming towards the end anyway. I don't think I've had a controlled lucid dream. |
Well i hope it helps and i also heard that dream control may take a while to be used properly. On my second night i realized i was dreaming but didn't have control, but since then i have had very unrealistic dreams but just can't realize it, so i'm just trying to give it time. |
Yeah, I'm not expecting to have full control for a while. I'm expecting a long and frustrating process. I heard that writing down your dreams helps, so I've been trying to do that. So far I've succeeded in a couple of recorded dreams, but not very many. |
Yes recording your dreams really helps, i went from 0 dreams recalled to 4 in a week. And if you write them as you wake up it is really funny because when you wake up they may not make sense and you cannot remember them lol. |
Well, that's a step in the right direction. Do you keep a dream journal next to your bed, or what? |
Yes, otherwise i completely forget key points the next day. |
