      My first experience

For a little over a year now, I've been interested in lucid dreaming (cuz let's be honest, being able to live out your fantasies may be the coolest thing ever). After a little bit I forgot about it, and have always had trouble remembering my dreams ever since. Yesterday my interest was resparked, and I spent the day reading about it.

I am pleased to report that this morning not only did I remember my dream, for the first time in months, but I experienced my first lucid dream.

I was hanging out with my best friend at the beach (I live in a coastal town), and the tide was rising rapidly. We jumped up to get out of the way of the water, and it was when I noticed that I was floating that I realized that I was dreaming. From there I spent a little time flying around. It was a short dream (I got excited about experiencing a lucid dream and woke up), but it was amazing.

Just wanted to share with you guys.

That said, hello! I'm new here!

      Wonder Cow, to Dreamviews!

Congratulations on having your first lucid dream, and being able to fly the first time. It took me a few lucids before I got the hang of it.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Wow, sounds fantastic! Flying is something I never do in dreams to my knowledge, and it's what I intend to do when I become lucid in a future dream.. I'm drilling myself to fly for when I'm having a lucid dream. Best of luck with future flights!
