can't recall more than a few details

      Hi,
I just started writing down my dreams, and programed my alarm 90-90minutes, to wake after REM stage. The cool thing is that I'm really remembering something haha, but on the other hand, I can't recall what I was doing at that place, where I was going...
Example: I couldn't read anything, see what color was my shirt, or even perceive how a scenario changed to another (in this case, how I went from a parking lot to a wide room with a crowd of undistinguished people).

Can someone please give me some tips of how to remember more than a few details?
      Appreciate

Just keep going at it! Your alarm probably decreases your dream recall too. Whenever I use an alarm to wake up my mind is on my alarm and not about dreams. Can you turn your alarm down a little but it will still wake you up?

There really isn't a way to do this that i'm aware of. Me personally, i have alot of dreams that i want to remember but as soon as i wake up the memory of it has already begun fading. Most of the time you won't remember these things because you're unaware you're dreaming and they're not the focus of attention. You're really only aware you're dreaming if the dream is lucid or if the dream is really intense. For instance i had a dream a few hours ago during a nap where i seen a screen with a movie or something playing on it but i have no idea what it was because it wasn't my focus of attention. Whatever stands out most will be what you remember the longest. If you're able to realize you're dreaming sooner then it's possible to control what you see and how detailed it is.

Write everything down...with a pencil. At least it works for me, just as when I have something important to memorize or learn. I'm no expert when it comes to Lucid Dreaming, but I do get really proud to know most of my dreams are perfectly detailed, elaborated and vivid.
Also, I see you're a new member here at DV. Welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your stay.

Turns out I just woke up this morning, without the alarm, and started writing down anything I'd remember, not necessarily in order. SUCCESS, remembered a hole page of details. Perhaps an alarm break the concentration, and even the dream itself... I mean, does REM stage really ends at 90 minutes sharp? It could be a little more/less, for each person. What do you guys think?
