      Question Noobish Questions.

Hi, I'm fairly new here so I just thought I'd point out that last night was my sixth attempt to LD. Nothing yet, but that wont bring me down. I just wanted to ask some questions, as I find LDs the most fascinating things on earth.

1.- How many attempts did it take you to get your first LD?
2.- what method did/do you use?
3.- Just how realistic are they?
4.- Can you eat things and taste them as you would in the ww?
5.- How long do they last?
6.- If you can die, what happens?
7.- From 1 to 10, rate how fun they are (Not really a question, but meh).
8.- Fucking magnets. How do they work?

Wow, you have a great deal of faith in words. I prefer to take my trips in person.

Relative questions that have no possible point of reference are irrational.

1.- How many attempts did it take you to get your first LD?

I got on two days after I heard about it. It's completely different from person to person, though.

2.- what method did/do you use?

WBTB + DILD. I still do.

3.- Just how realistic are they?

Depends. Some LDs bring extremely life-like clarity, whereas others are extremely vague and jumpy.

4.- Can you eat things and taste them as you would in the ww?

Yes, if you expect them to.

5.- How long do they last?

They can last as long as your REM-cycle does. This requires a lot of practice though. Many lucid dreams end shortly after you become lucid.

6.- If you can die, what happens?

You usually wake up. I've had dreams where I die and stay in the dream for a bit longer. You can not be harmed physically by dying in dream.

7.- From 1 to 10, rate how fun they are (Not really a question, but meh).

      10.

8.- Fucking magnets. How do they work?

      What?

      Also, to DV!

Welcome man, indeed LDs are one of the coolest things on earth.

      1) I had my first one about 3 weeks after beginning. Your first ones usually end instantly though until you begin to get used to it.
      2) I used DILD method. I think it is the easiest. Also doing a WBTB can help a lot (I almost succeeded with it last night).
      3) Let me just say that you won't believe how realistic it is. The first time you succeed at stabalizing one you will probably be blown away. Just as real as reality if not more so.
      4) I haven't eaten anything during one yet but if you try you could. You are only limited by your confidence and imagination.
      5) All of mine so far have lasted like 5 seconds then turned into a False Awakening. But one of those lasted like over a minute and that one was insane. I looked out my bedroom window and couldn't believe the detail of what I saw.
      6) There is a thread on this somewhere, everyone has said that it feels awsome and generally you wake up.
      7) 10 of course, how else can you do anything you want?
      8) Not sure exactly. Opposites attract

      Thanks for the welcomes!

One last question I forgot to bring up:

      whats your DG like?

It seems like an interesting concept, and I wonder what mine is.

      Hi Golden and welcome!

I'm of the opinion that it's important to have some success fairly quickly, otherwise it is easy to get discouraged and quit.

I've had LDs sporadically throughout my life, but when I got serious about developing the ability, I took galantamine and choline. The resulting LD was as vivid and lifelike as waking reality. Truly astonishing. Once you have experienced that, you will be willing to put in whatever effort it takes.

I think it is important to develop your skills so that you DON'T have to rely on supplements, but to get you going, I would recommend it. You can do a search for galantamine to get the details.
