New here and having trouble with WILD technique...

Well I just started trying to Lucid Dream about 2 weeks ago and started doing the WILD technique about 3 days ago. The problem isn't staying conscious I just can't ever seem to fall asleep. Also ever since I've started doing WILD I've noticed my dream recall has gone down...is this normal and is WILD a good technique for newbies?

      Welcome, Lazy420.

Personally, I don't recommend WILD to new lucid dreamers. Others will disagree. I just don't think it's good to start off with because, from what I've seen, if newbies don't see results in the first few days of trying it, they lose confidence. I'd say go with with DILD or MILD since your just starting. If you want to stick with consciously entering a dream, however, I'd tell you to go with DEILD. It's a much easier variation of WILD.

As for your recall issue; (stupid question) did you have good recall to begin with, and do you keep a dream journal? I'd imagine it went down because WILD requires you to get up after a few hours of sleep. But that just my guess. I'm not too knowledgeable about WILDing.
