Talking First Night Experience, Would appreciate advice.

I found out about LD yesterday. Last night was the first night I tried to experience anything.

I kept repeating to myself in my head, "I will be aware that I am dreaming."

I began to fade away about 30-45 minutes in to my sleep. I fell asleep for about an hour and a half, with my mind still pretty active (I could tell because I didn't feel a bit rested)

So around 1:30am I start to feel my mind peeling away from my body. I kind of felt like I was being pulled out and above my body. The more I relaxed the stronger the feeling got. I started to try to just go with the flow. When I noticed that this phenomena was occurring all on it's own I became exited. I started to think... "Ok, Relax... Calm down." But before I could fully separate, I felt my breathing get heavy and woke up sweating.

It was the first night I leaned about LD, and the first time I've tried it. I bought some, 100mg B6 Vitamins, 3mg Melatonin Vitamins, and some Omega 3/6 Vitamins to help.

I want to know if the out-of-body experience I almost had is relevant to lucid dreaming. I want to know if I'm on the right track. This is one of the most exiting things I have ever tried, and I hope to become like some of the people who have mastered it on these forums.

If it's healthy to take any more supplements let me know. And I will be reading through the site like mad for the next few days.

      Thanks for the help.

      Cograts and to DV!
You are on the proper track to LD.

It is a much debated topic LD/OBE/AP relations. In my opinion all are mind creations.
Next time when you feel separated, move to some place you enjoy and Enjoy there.
      Perform Deepening and Stabilization techniques.
      Good Luck.

      Hello,

I tried dream control last night for the first time. Throughout the day I told myself several times that I will be aware of my dreams. I also said it a few time before I fell asleep. I woke up after two hours with no recollection of any dreams. Not a biggie.
I stayed up for about an hour. When I went back to bed I was very tired and I could feel myself slipping off to a dream land. Again, I reminded myself that I can control my dreams. I was immediately in a dream. I was standing on a rooftop. I told myself to fly. My body shot way up into the sky. I don't believe I was in LD because while I knew I was dreaming I was still aware of my physical body and I could feel it thrusting upwards while I laid in bed. I don't know for sure if my body was actually doing it. Whatever was happening it felt wonderful, but I knew I was just scratching the surface. The flying didn't last long. I awoke soon afterwards. I wanted to get right back to it. I could feel myself drifting back, but this was something that i've never experienced before. There were several portals in front of me. I'm assuming that were different dreams that I could enter, but each time I tried to enter I was thrown out by someone, verbally. They weren't friendly. Basically, they were saying..."get out and get your own dreams!...". From there I tossed and turned for a few hours. The only other dream I remember from last night was telling my sister that I tried dream control and that I think It worked.

anyway, sorry for the long post. Just looking for any thoughts. Particularly getting thrown out of the different dream worlds.

      thanks

This could be because as it was your first deliberate dream attempt and you were having a lot of expectations. Your inner mind might be kept on asking 'Is it possible?' and it executed well by asking you to get out. Any how, not a long post, it was a good post. Keep trying, Good Luck and ,

It is better to avoid supplements. Try to control your dreams by the power of your mind.
