      Trouble with consistency

      Hello everyone,
I've had an interest in lucid dreaming, and am familiar with some of the techniques but cannot keep a consistent on the discipline. My work and family life interfere with my sleep schedule, and I can't manage to get up every morning to record dreams when I do have them. I average about six hours on a recovery week, and maybe 2 hours on heavy work weeks. Weekends I average 8, but am always awakened by my kids, I frantically get up and forget everything. I've had three lucid dreams since I started seven years ago. I'm about to give up all together.
      Does anyone have any advice?

      Don't give up.

For consistency doing reality checks and stuff, I recommend writing RC on your wrist with a magic marker. Do a reality check every time that you see it, it should up your lucid dream count.

As for your work schedule, that seems a bit excessive. I would ask your manager to hire an assistant if you're really working that much. I can't help with your kids, but I know that there are many lucid dreamers here who have kids, they seem to work around them just fine.
