      Hello There

Hi, I am new to this Forum. I became interested in Dream Control after seeing a rather amusing(probably due to the graphics) 1980 something film entitled "Dreamscape". Not the best inspiration, but it made me wonder how much was possible, and the resulting search dropped me off at this site.

I have had horrible Dream Recall for about 2 years now, so initially I was worried. After reading a thread on how the even just the intent to remember your dreams can cause your mind to recall your dreams I decided I would give it my all. So, I have started my own Dream Journal now, and have 9 nights recorded at this time. None were lucid, but I have had some amazingly vivid dreams, and some awesome adventures(even if I had little control over them). Very much looking forward to my first LD, and after that Dream Control. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Oh and best emoticon is this: | Just picture Cartman from Southpark as the emoticon and I'm sure you will see why. Peace!

      to DV!!!

Look for the dream signs/themes, if any, in your dreams you journalised. It may be a common place, person, event, etc. Realizing this theme will help you to become lucid.
      Good Luck

      Hi, welcome to Dreamviews!

It's good you've gotten into the habit of recording your dreams, even if the startup was a bit rough. Dream control is pretty easy once you get the hang of it; it's really just about confidence and believing that whatever you want to happen will. Expect something to happen with confidence, and it will. This will allow you to fly easily, control DCs, and pretty much do anything you want.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

I'm glad you are enjoying your non-lucid dreams, too. Lucidity is a fun goal, but regular dreams can be just as mind-blowing.

Ya, I took a look over my DJ and a high number of them took place at where I am currently working. Almost all of them had a high school friend. So I am going to try to start doing RCs but they are so hard to remember lol. Anyway, thank you all for your replies! Its great to get advice from more experienced people. Later!
