staying dreaming while realizing sleep

I have a hard time staying asleep when i realize im dreaming. any tips to stay dreaming?

Try not to get overly excited at the realization, if you have any control over that. Besides that, engage your senses in the dream as soon as you realize you're dreaming. Look all around you and run your hands over things. It should bring the dream into more vivid detail

From what I have read rubbing your hands together or spinning around will do it.

Use all of your senses, not only touch but also concentrate on what you can see and hear. Using a logical mind can help with me sometimes, I try to do things like simple math like 7 + 6 = 13 when I first became lucid.

And, most of all, like everyone else says, DO NOT BECOME OVER EXCITED!
