      Newbie here

Recently I've had a number of uncannily vivid dreams all related to marijuana.
I've had lucid dreams in the past but would like to be able to control the content of my dreams so I don't wake up every weekday jonesing for some mary jane, its really inconvenient.
I'll be reading a whole mess of tutorials and keeping a dream journal.
I'll likely be lurking for my first few weeks here, but if i have something interesting to say I'll pipe up.

      Welcome to Dreamviews!

Those marijuana related dreams, were they induced BY marijuana or just ABOUT it? Because for many people actually using it has adverse effects on their dream recall.

      Just about it.
I haven't used in over a week, and apparently it's all my unconscious mind can think about.

Were you addicted to it a week ago? Your subconscious probably craves for it, but if you quit, it'll probably stop after awhile.

Well, since lucid dreaming is linked to the sub-conscious, you COULD talk to yourself while lucid and tell yourself you don't need the stuff and you aren't dependent on it.

If you would like some pre-sleep content control (as in to incubate a certain dream so you aren't dreaming about smoking up), I would suggest meditating before sleep (30 minutes), then reviewing some goals you might like to accomplish, like flying, or having a discussion with your sub-conscious. Maybe there's a destination you wish to visit. Now is a good time to think about that place before you go to sleep.

I'm not addicted or dependent on it, you'd have to be unbelievably weak to get addicted to marijuana.
Last night I went to bed after listening to those wonderful subliminal message MP3s, I quite enjoyed them.
I ended up aware, but not lucid and had to experience running away from a banshee of sorts in the woods from the first lord of the rings movie.
Can you guess what I had been doing not half an hour before went to bed?
Those movies are fantastic I don't mind them coming up in my dreams.
Actually, if I think about it, the 'banshee' was what the lady of the wood turned into when Frodo offered her the ring, if anybody remembers. She is tempted by its power and talks about how she'll become the queen of middle earth and starts to look more like a demon than an elf.
Thats made even more odd by the fact i didn't get to that disc of the movie because i was watching the extended edition and just wanted to sleep after the first disk.
      Excuse my rambling please.
