      Hello fellow dream-masters

Okay well I'm no dream master I'm more of a white belt
Ever since I was younger I was always fascinated with the ability to have lucid dreams. Of course back then I didn't know what it was called. It was always something that would just happen to me every once and a while. Several months ago I started doing much research into lucid dreaming but never did anything about it.
Just last night I forced myself to have a lucid dream and now I'm very excited about this whole idea! I started a dream journal last night as well. It was rather odd too...
Basically all it was I was looking at this brick wall and just out of no where letters started flipping as if they were stuck to the wall like the old Airport signs that showed your departure times. They just kept flipping and flipping making that ticking noise. What popped up was the word Lucid Dream and then it just slid off to the side and I couldn't see it. Then the letters kept flipping and I remember thinking to myself how great it was that I was actually aware while in the dream. The flipping letters continued and other words popped up that didn't seem to make any sense to me. It was basically gibberish. After about what seemed like 5 min it was gone and the next thing I remember was waking up.

I had tried my hardest not to let my conciseness fall asleep with me. Most of the time I would count my breaths as I was trying to fall asleep. This feeling of heaviness hit over my whole body hit me a couple times. The first time my arm twitched and snapped me out of it. The second time my eyes twitched. Then the next time my body went into paralysis I stayed there until the dream kicked in.

So anyway what I would really like to get out of this is to lessen my night terrors and walking in my sleep. Most weeks I will sleep walk at least 5 times. If lucid dreaming can help people have less nightmares I think it could help with the sleepwalking and night terrors.
