      Hello

Hello, my name is Matt. I am a tattoo artist from Ohio. Im new to the " realm of dream control " lol. My friend actually turned me on to it, and told me a brief " All you do is concentrate on nothing but staying conscious during your dream to start "..

Well, he told me what hes done, and I was like wow... That sounds like an amazing experience. Well, last night I was lying there in bed and decided to try it. I lay in bed for about 15 minutes with my head more clear than its ever been lol. I start to feel my body fully relaxe and 100% of my body weight is supported by my mattress, and eventually it felt the bed wasnt a bed, but instead air which I was floating. I started to feel myself "rise" off the bed, and could almost SEE myself floating. Well, I was 100% aware of how I was feeling which was awesome that this was happening, and I was " awake " to enjoy it in reality. Well, I got all giddy and my stomach got butterflies in it and I giggled out of joy I guess. Once I giggled I FOR REAL woke up and I was so disappointed lol. My giggle interrupted my dream.

Anyways my question is was this a Lucid Dream? Where I was starting to " dream " but was consciously aware of what was going on.

Whatever it was it was amazing, it made me feel like I went down a rollercoaster hill lol.

      Hi Matt, welcome to Dreamviews!

It might have been a WILD (wake induced lucid dream) in which you enter sleep paralysis and then go directly into a dream. It also could have been an OBE (out of body experience).
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
