      A simple question.

Hi, got a quick question here:

I have had several times now that I know that I'm dreaming, but I'm not lucid e.g. I say: "Well, none of this really matters 'cause I'm dreaming." Why don't I become lucid, even though I am some what aware of that I'm dreaming?

Sometimes when you're lucid, it's like you're fully conscious. Other times, you know that you're dreaming but you're not THAT aware, eg. aware enough to change the dream plot. Either that, or you're just saying you're dreaming because you're thinking so much about it during the day.
We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.
