      Can't get any lucid dreams?

I used to have a few semi lucid dreams like 2 years ago. I can't get crap right now. To add too that i have kind of an insomnia. It takes me like 1 to 2 hours to fall asleep. Its really hard for me to get comfortable. I need your guys's help. I do all the stuff it says on this website and it doesn't really work.
I get regular dreams pretty much every night, they're really short though.

I usually find it very hard to get comfortable, also. Although it dosn't take me1 to 2 hours to fall asleep

Well to fall asleep faster try to:
Excercise, Avoid sleeping in the day, go to bed at the same time each night, don't eat/drink garbage food before sleep and Stress less!

And I can't really help you with the lucid troubles part. sorry.

Try meditating. That always works for me. There is a bunch of meditation things on this site.

I searched meditate in the search box. Didn't really find anything. Id probably suck at it anyway since my mind always wanders.

Sounds like your insomnia might be the first concern to improve. Start with the basics:
      - Do what you can to improve your sleep environment in terms of light, sound, temperature, and comfort.
      - Consider the timing of your daytime and bedtime habits such as exercise, caffeine, stress, and excitement. You want to be calm and relaxed at bedtime.
      - Wait until you feel sleepy before trying to sleep. Don't lay in bed for hours. Get up and do something boring until you feel sleepy.
      - Don't use over-the-counter sleeping pills to treat chronic insomnia. They don't work for this. But melatonin is worth a try.
      - Search "relaxation technique". There are many threads on these forums, often as part of a WILD technique.

Get a steady, good night's sleep first and keep a dream journal for a few weeks. Then dive in to the LD techniques.

Are you stressful? Cus thats a killer. Also exercise in the day so you are more tired. Or try to
How many days have you started LDing? Because (from past experiences) the first days I was sure I was gonna be Lucid. It would take me 2-3 hours to sleep. Then after I noticed I wouldnt get lucid in a while I fell back in my regular pattern Let time do his thing and dont think about becoming lucid while going to sleep cus its gonna take hours and u wont go anywhere.

Also, get in a position ur comfortable. I cant sleep unless im on my stomach, so I do. And I dont get ppl that sleep on their back.

      Sleep paralysis.

Probably your body is starting to fall asleep, and you feel unconfortable and move, and the cycle starts again, until you finally fall asleep. That's probably why you take so long to sleep.

I had the exact same problem you're having. Melatonin supplements did wonders for me. I'm taking 9 - 12mg doses ( 3 or 4: 3mg tabs ). Really helped me in terms of falling asleep.

They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

I guess he is more worried about not being to sleep properly than having any lucid dreams at this time.

actually its the opposite. well i got to get to sleep to dream in the first place right? And for me its really hard to get to sleep. Theres no point in dreaming if i can't even sleep.

Alright, i got the melatonin and i took it yesterday night. REALLY helped me get to sleep, but i woke up at like 4:30 in the morning and the sun was coming up. I couldn't go back to sleep because the melatonin wore off. ill take 2 this time. And i think ill sleep in the other room were theres a better bed. I don't like sleeping in there for some reason though.I usually only remember dreams if a sleep the whole night. Thanks guys.
