Hey I have been working on LD for about a month now and I had my first ld last night. I realized i might have been dreaming so i did a reality check but i started to lose my vision and i could only feel things. it felt like i was waking up but i got through it fine. Then i decided to change my dream to be back to the time of dinosaurs. I did this but it wasn't as vivid as most dreams so I went back to my previous dream and just decided to continue on knowing that I was dreaming. |

You need to stabilize the dream, it means: Spining, hubbing your hands, focusing on the dreamscape, and touching things. |

Staying conscious and aware during a LD is hard. I still haven't perfected it. When I focus too much on my surroundings I tend to lose my lucidity, but when I focus too much on myself then I usually wake up. I think it is just a balance between dream and self awareness that you probably figure out over time, but like I said, I'm still working on that part. Anyway, something I suggest you try in you next LD is flying. I always enjoyed flying in regular dreams, so when I started becoming lucid that was my first priority, and I have to say every time I become lucid I fly around as much as possible. It's a rush. Also, you should start trying to alter smaller things in your dreams first rather than everything around you. First alteration I did was to make someone appear. It was amazingly simple. In fact, I didn't see her at first so I tried making her appear again, but then there were two of her so I had to make one disappear. It was very entertaining. That same dream I tried making everyone else around us disappear, but that proved to be too difficult. They just faded away for a second and then more people reappeared. Just start simple and eventually you will be able to control everything about your dreams. Good luck! |
