      Wink Hi Dream Views!

Hi to all!, I have been looking at this group for about a month. I joined today.

The group is great, thanks to all who post.

I had my first lucid dream this morning at about 2:50 A.M., it was very short. This is what happened:
I dreampt I was at my Moms house (where I grewup). My brother was there and asked me two times "I wonder where you are?" the second time I thought I might be dreaming and did a RC and sure enough I relized I was dreaming and decided to try and float/fly. It worked and then I flew over the yard and dogs and then was inside the house. I then remembered that I wanted to go to my work and decided to go through the ceiling to fly there. I then woke up.

I'm real excited about this! Before going to sleep I was reading the MILD technique by Stephen LaBerge. I think this was a DILD? I was strange that my brothers questions in my dream made me question my state and do a RC. Has anyone else had a dream character prompt you to find out if your dreaming?

It seem like a lucid dream because the two things I wanted to do when I became lucid (fly and go to where I work) were both thought of after I thought to myself that I'm dreaming, I wanted to test if I coild float/fly and jumped and started to float!, the flew over the backyard. Then I remembered that I wanted to go where I work and attempted to do that! It wasn't quite as vivid as some of my recalled dreams. But this is the first time that I was aware I was dreaming and was thinking of what I had planed to do from my waking state.

      This is sooo cool.

      Keep dreaming!

      Hello TommyCat. Welcome.
      It was definitely a DILD.

You made the mistake that most newbies do, you didn't stabilized the dream and just went in a rush. Next time, try rubbing your hands, spining, touching thing in the dream or focusing on the dream scene if you are outdorrs, for example.
