      Hi there.

I'm Damian, I'm eighteen and reside in the boring ol' state of Maine. I've been exploring Lucid dreaming for a few weeks now, and still trying to get in the habit of staying still when I wake to record my dreams. I've always have been interested in dreams since I saw the movie Dreamscape a long time ago. I just thought I'd introduce myself instead of just lurking the site with no friends. Hope to meet great people on here to share my interest in dreaming with. Good day to you all.

      welcome to dream views
good luck, have fun and dont quit!
They say dreaming is dead, no one does it anymore.
It's not dead it's just that it's been forgotten, removed from our language.
Nobody teaches it so nobody knows it exists.
The dreamer is banished to obscurity.
Well, I'm trying to change all that, and I hope you are too.
      By dreaming, every day.

Thank you. I've read most of the tutorials, some methods don't work for me so I guess I have to try harder. Haha.

      That's great!

A word of advice though: don't try too hard to have lucid dreams. I say this because if you stress out too much about whether or not you are having them it can greatly hinder your progress to be able to attain lucidity. I generally say, work on your recall until it is impeccable. From there, do lots and lots of reality checks. After you feel 100% confident in your dream recall abilities, start delving into the world of lucid dream induction techniques and everything else. Some people can have lucid dreams naturally, but for everyone else it is tough. The level of stress in your life can greatly affect your ability to lucid dream.

Basically, don't worry yourself about having lucid dreams. Don't stress about it. If you want to have them, eventually you will have them.

Alright, that's going to be tough though, I've got teenager stress. Haha. I do reality checks here and there, and like I said in my first post I'm still trying to get in the habit of laying still when I wake, but I naturally move when I wake so it's hard.

Yes, it's definitely hard especially at first. Try to make a list of when you're going to do a reality check: first time you see a red car, first time you look in a mirror, first time you see a flower, etc... Make a list of those for each day of the week and stick to them. It gets you in the habit of doing them at completely random times, and also trains you to be more aware of your environment. Good luck!

Also if one method doesnt work (dont give up after the first try) than try another method, the methods is use is a combination of MILD and DEILD.

Instead of making another thread I'm going to ask my question right here. Does anyone else when doing sometime of counting method or relaxing method get a rush of warmth through their body? Every time I lay still and count back from 99 around 30 or so I get this rush of warmth. It's not uncomfortable or anything, my body just gets really warm .
