      Lightbulb New Jeep

      Hi all,
New member here. I have been studying about astral projection for a while now and some lucid dreaming, but just found this site and I like it so far. As far as my experience with lucid dreaming I can remember having some sort of control in my dreams when I was younger but recently no. What got me to join this site was he stages of sleep page, this part the most:

During REM sleep, your body causes the atonia, or paralysis, of the skeletal muscles. This is a very good thing, because you would not want to be acting out your dreams in real life! It is still unknown exactly how the body triggers this and has been the subject of much study. Sometimes, you may become conscious while your muscles are still paralyzed. This is known as an episode of sleep paralysis.

Sleep paralysis is an episode in which a person is usually transitioning from wake to sleep or sleep to wake and they find that they cannot move. Sleep paralysis is commonly characterized by hallucinations, vibrations, loud ringing or roaring noises in the ears, pressure on the chest or choking sensations, and often fear of impending doom or terror if the person is has no prior knowledge or experience of sleep paralysis.
I can induce this almost every night!-through 10-30mins of meditation/relaxation techniques. However my focus has always been on astral projection. It never occurred to me that it may be possible to have a lucid dream from this point. So tonight that will be my focus!

Welcome! Lucky you! I still haven't been able to get to SP, but a few nights ago my body got very heavy and I heard loud buzzing noises, then my eyes wanted to open so I was forcing them shut, and that was my downfall. D= Next time I'm just going to let it all happen.

Thanks, I'm excited to try this. I think I may have better luck trying to become lucid. I haven't projected yet but I think I am very close.
Yeah the buzzing, that's the most distracting part for me, the sound starts early in my meditation as a slight ring and slowly gets louder and louder until it sounds like your sticking your head out the window of car going down the road, its like a wind noise.

Yea, I can hear the slight ringing all the time, I just have to focus. I've been trying to AP also, for a while now, I can sort of control the energy vibrations you feel in your body, but to move them around, I have to move my eyes to where I want it to go, and I can never feel it in my head.

Welcome, Jeep. I'm pretty new here too.

Are we talking about astral projection here that allows you to visit people in your waking life or are we talking about just a good ol out of body experience (OBE)?
The former, in my opinion, is supernatural phewy, while the later is a fact even if it's just you playing tricks on your own mind.
