Recurring dreams can be troublesome, as they can signify a strong emotional problem, and, in some cases, should be seen with a psychologist, so yeah. Don't take it too lightly untill you are sure it's not a big deal. |

a best friend of mine has been having the same dream every night for several weeks or months now with little variation with the occasional guest appearance of me or other things like that. Any help trying to break him out of this cycle? he wants to get started on this LD thing like i am. |

Might sound a little over simple, but have at it! Sounds like you're ready to start working on LDing, so start surfing through the website, check out some of the tutorials, and start working on the building blocks of dream recall and reality checks. |

i have told him the second part, i wasnt sure but i figured that the same dream would help him realize he was dreaming so thanks for confirming that |

Hey, no problem. If you ever need any additional help, tips, advice or just anyone to talk to, you're more then welcome to send me a PM or just openly let me know. |

Recurring dreams aren't necessarily synonymous with a "strong emotional problem." They are more often than not your subconscious attempting to work out or mull over a particular issue or question that you can't fully understand or come to grips with. |

I agree with Foul above. I too have had reoccurring dreams over a long period of time. However the more I thought about the dream, and kept track of it. The more changes I was able to encounter later when they reoccurred. Some people can keep some things to them self, but sub consciously its still there. Dreams allow this to escape, sort of like a reminder. I think keeping a journal on it would help. It really helped me out in the past. |

wow everyone! that was alot more help than i had expected. im glad i joined this site. now i'm gonna have him read these posts so he can follow them and hopefully either jump right into LDing or breaking the cycle |
|
He should right down the entire dream and post int in the Dream interpretation Section. Im sure he'll be able to get help there, if not then he might have a sickness emotional problem, he needs to find what this means as the subconcious is repeating the dream in order to get a message to him.Until he finds what that is it will repeat till the problem has been worked out |
