      Question Dream Journal Weirdness

For two nights I forgot to take my dream journal up into my room. I usually remember my dreams quite well, often fairly vividly and more then one. However, I found that when my dream journal wasnt lying beside me my dreams were more difficult to recall and not as exciting. I made sure to take my dream journal with me the following night and I remembered my dreams really well. They were interesting as well. I remember the first one was being on some hills with my friends (but the hills looked more like mini mountains) overlooking a lake. We were running around trying to pick up watermelons on the hills (no idea why) when they suddenly just flew in the air and splatted on the floor. The next dream I had I think my tounge must have been blocking my throat because I couldnt breath until it woke me up. Then I dreamt about being at a friend's house where lots of weird things happened including being nipped by crabs while I was trying to sleep. The last dream started a bit like Jeremy springer/Trisha/Jeremy Kyle and then I turned into a detective and had to find someone's evil genius son.
None were lucid but all interesting and it seemed to be something to do with the dream journal. Is there a chance it may have influenced my brain into making my dreams more vivid and exciting?

I was told by my dream mentor that you should keep your journal on your bedside every night as this is the most effective. When you wake up, lay for 2-5 seconds and just think about your dreams. Then grab your journal and pen and start writing. This should help with very precise dream recollection.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

We all live in a kind of continuous dream. When we wake, it is because something,
some event, some pinprick even, disturbs the edges of what we have taken as reality.

Cool thanks alot. I think I should get up earlier to get this done because I often try to do it later on when I have more time and sometimes forget.
