Any help helping a newb LD?

I need some help, I've never had a lucid dream in my life and I'm wondering what the easiest way to have one is. I sleep with my TV on most of the time so it can't be one of those ones relating to silence (like WILD, I think) and I also don't have an alarm clock so I can't really use one of those ones where you wake up after a few hours (like most of them). Any help?

I would suggest trying out DILD or MILD first, both of which are fairly easy and don't require a ton of effort. MILD is saying to yourself that you are going to have a lucid dream (or any other phrase that you like) and falling asleep with that in mind. DILD is based on seeing strange things in a dream and training your brain to recognize these as irregular, so that oyu preform a RC and get lucid! DILD is what most people use to get their first LD (i think) and MILD isn't too far behind. Good luck and don't give up!

first you should work on your dream recall before you try any methods! You should be able to recall 1-2 dreams a night. Get a dream journal and write down your dreams when you wake up to help with this. Explore this site too it has all the info and tutorials you need to get you on your way to lucidity. Good luck!

The problem with starting a dream journal is that I have horrible dream recall. I'm going to try the "stay still as possible" thing they have on the tutorial when I wake up, though.

the point of dream journals is to help you get better at dream recall. even if you down' remember anything, write down some sort of emotion you may have felt or just how you slept and if you used any techniques and your results. the more you do this in time the more dreams youll be able to recall. i think you should just stick with it for a little bit. I have some nights where i don't remember thing, its frustrating but its also cuz i work night shifts so my sleep schedule is out of whack.
