      New and amazed!

Im so amazed by all of the info iv'e read so far, i don't know how i've never heard of lucid dreaming before.

Just a wonder, would looking at your own tattoos work as a reality check?
      thanks

It could work, but the only fear i have is that your mind is so used to seeing tattoos on, say, your arms that it would also occur in your dreams. Some people wear a watch or some type of wrist band when they sleep and use that as a reality check. Most people plug their nose and try to breathe through it though. That seems to be the most common and reliable.

Also, be sure to start up a Dream Journal and read up on some induction techniques. It usually takes a few weeks for someone to get their first Lucid Dream and the biggest part is don't give up. Good luck and happy dremaing!

A dream a night is a good place to start out. Making sure you are motivated is key, but don't over do it. I've seen too many people, myself included, who work too hard. You don't want to over exert yourself but you don't want to slack off either. Just going a few reality checks throughout the day, keeping a DJ and maybe browsing these forums every now and then is all you need.

Thanks I see what you mean, its better to stay consistently motivated instead of over doing it,
I was also wondering if people experience fear when lucid dreaming?
