Actually I don't think it will have a great impact. If it works for some people then it might have an effect, and if that effect is placebo or not, it doesn't really matter. Personally I think that the binural beats are great for meditating and relaxing. Combining those two should work great when improving your recall. Tried meditating?

Also, when you wake up. Don't move a muscle, almost let yourself fall asleep again and when your body thinks you are about to, the dream memory will trigger. Just lie there and don't think about anything, let the dreams come to you. If that doesn't work then try to think of different scenarios and people. It might trigger something.

To increase the recall over time, you just have to write down your dreams every day, remember details and well, just use your dream memory. It's just like the regular memory, the more you use it the better it will become. Adaptation!
