      Questions about napping

Hey guys, just joined the site after lurking it for the last week. I was able to have 2 lucids my first week using the MILD method, but I would also like to learn the WILD method.

I have to get up pretty early most days for college, so I would like to try the WILD nap method, but I'm not really too sure how it works. I know how a WILD with WBTB works in general, and have reached SP once. What I don't understand is how you go about doing a WILD with a nap. Sorry if I have a lot of questions but I would really like to figure out how this works.

      1. Do you just lie down and attempt SP right away without any sleep? Or do you nap for a bit and wake yourself up and then go back to sleep to do the WILD method?

      2. How does all of this fit in with REM cycles, since it is apparently useless trying to WILD if you aren't close to a REM period?

      3. Do you have any tips that are specific to nap WILDing?

BTW I realize that there are many guides on performing WILDs, but none of them seem to go into the details of nap WILDing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just lay down motionless until you enter Sleep Paralysis and then a dream, just like any other wild or WBTB.

So there is no need to sleep before hand? Interesting. Does anyone know the details of why this works? Do you automatically enter REM sleep during the afternoon?
