Thread: Hello and bluring of reality and dream question

Hello everyone! I'm just getting started trying to lucid dream and came across this great site.

I started a dream journal and I've been trying to improve my dream recall and get in the habbit of doing reality checks.

I've been at this for about a month now and have yet to have a lucid dream (not that I expected to so quickly).

I have experienced something I can't explain and was hoping someone could help me with this. I apologize if this has been covered before but I can't find what I'm looking for anywhere.

Ok here it goes.

I experience something in reality (say watch a movie) then dream about watching the movie but don't know that I had a dream about it. When I wake up I still don't know that I had a dream about. Days later talking to other people who watched the movie with me I'll find out that there are whole scenes added that were not in the original movie and I'll figure out that I was dreaming. Is this normal? I don't remember this happening before I started to try and improve my dream recall. Since then it has happened several times with various different dream topics. I don't always figure out that I was dreaming by talking to other people sometimes I just firgure it out but always a few days later.

any advice, explanation?
