Setting the Alarm Clock according to Stephen LaBerge

Ok, Last night I set it to five hours and then Seven and a half, as stated. How annoyed to be woken up whilst not dreaming. I have found the best recall to occur when I just follow the natural scheme of things. Though maybe he has a point and I need to do some fine tuning.

Ok. I understand that in the first cycle one has to allow the ten or fifteen minutes to fall asleep added on. Does one also have to give the dream a few minutes to "Kick In" so to speak in the other cycles. But, Yes I will follow your advice, Thank's.

What I do mostly is all well known, except for one little and critical component. It's really very simple.
      my specific schedule is thus...
      go to sleep at 10pm
      wake up at 4am
stay up until 4:30am reading or doing something to wake yourself up
from 4:30am to 5am listen to astral projection* audio
go back to sleep, conscioussly(for me I don't have a choice, it is garanteed) at 5am

*This audio is the crucial part, it is using brainwave entrainment like bwgen, I came across this specific audio from a website, I don't know what frequencies it uses, but it is perfect. If I do all of these things, I am GARANTEED a lucid dream when I go back to sleep? Am I using too strong of words? no, every single time I have done this(over 20 times now) I have had a lucid dream, period.

This sounds like good advice, Thanks. I don't have the "Astral Projection" preset but I hope the general "sleep" one or something similar would work also. (Perhaps my Ultimate Sex Hypnosis cd ). LOL. Thanks again.

Do you know where you can get a BWGEN that allows imports without buying the BWGEN

If I did I would certainly let you know. I've read a few posts which allow one to "dabble" with the settings but I'm too scared to Frazzle my Bloody brain.

      wow look I'm famous
to get specific with the brainwave entrainment, you need SPECIFIC frequencies for it to work... anything intended for meditation/OBE/astral works fine for me, so like 4-7 Hz I guess, I just use the astral one cause it works
but if I don't listen to the entrainment and do everything else, I do NOT get a lucid dream, never, ever.

*oh yea, almost forgot, also, if I sleep past 9 am, I cannot go back to sleep the following night at 5am, and even if I wake up at 9am, it is still hard to go back to sleep, but if I wake up at 8am it is very easy and garanteed that I go back to sleep, just to add that in

I wish i had the schedule and will power to have a set sleep schedule!

Prometheus, did this work the first time you did it or does it take a few trys?

I would also like to know where I could get this recording. Sounds very interesting and at least worth a try but even though it works for Prometheus it may not work for everyone. I think that the time someone goes to sleep and wakes up then back to sleep may vary... but good guidelines. Good info!

No this worked the very first time I used it, which is why I noticed it so fast, every single time I have used it correctly it has worked

funny story how I discovered it actually lol

bad news time, the astral thingy isn't free, I think it is like 20 bucks
      http://www.witchcraftmagic.com/astralprojection2.htm
It has never made me astral lol, but it works with how I'm using it, bwgen is about the same price anyway lol

wow, I've laughed out loud a lot, lol OMG LOL

and by far, will power is the hardest, you have to keep a fixed schedule, and wake up TWO times in the early morning, it took me a good freaking year to actually do this every night... I had a lot of friends that liked to stay up til 4am... stupid friends! Alas they have left my life, you've just gotta impose your will for what you know what's best sometimes, I don't know about other people but I come first for myself AYN RAND ROCKS EGO oh uhh yes anyway, yes, willpower, takes lot, indeed. *exits*

Have you tried setting the alarm clock for a pre-set time every night? No matter what time I go to sleep (unless it's after 12:30 or so), I set my alarm to 4am. While REM may come to someone in 5 hours, for another person it may come in 6 or 4. You just kind of have to play around with it, but stick with a time for about a week before changing it.

If the REM cycle extends itself throughout the night would it not it be better to set it later rather than earlier. Also why does LaBerge state 4,5,6,and then 7.5 hours. Strange, but I have always wanted to enter into some of my last stage dreams which have at times been so lovely. Just think of all those "mid-stage" dreams of which I have no recall whatsoever and never will have.

ahem. I tried the ninety minute thing...and it doesn't work.
Firstly, when i first woke up i didn't remember a thing. And the second time i woke myself up and went straight back to sleep!
as a result, the next morning i was a proper barrel of laughs...
some of you may have seen my thread with regard to this...
