      Is this SP?

The past two nights I've been laying in bed trying to induce lucid dreaming, and I've had some really weird sensations. Here's what I've been doing. I lay in bed not moving any part of my body, then I keep my mind focused in a way that I can't really explain. I try look past the nothingness of my closed eyes into the something... if that makes sense. It's the best way I can describe it. Anyways, I keep my mind focused on not sleeping, then after about 10 minutes, things start to change. The sounds of my room (the vents blowing air, and cars passing by) seem to fade away, but not totally, and then I hear a high pitched buzzing. My eyes start twitching, not in a bad way or anything. I feel like I can keep my eyes closed with no effort, but if I really wanted to I could probably open them. I haven't tried opening them because I don't want to waste the sensation. I also see things kind of visualizing, but nothing very vivid. Usually just colors. Lastly, something happens... down there. It's happened all 5 times I've done this. twice two nights ago, and 3 times last night. The first ones each night last about 5 minutes, and then the others are a lot shorter. I can't really say that for sure though, because I keep my eyes closed, and away from the alarm clock, even when they end.

My dreams are almost never remembered, and if they are, they aren't usually that vivid. I just started a DJ, so hopefully that will change.

So if anyone knows what this is, or how I can further it into a LD, please tell me.

Indeed, you seem to be inducing SP. If you are trying to WILD upon first going to sleep, it may be very difficult to complete the transition. Your body/mind isn't ready to enter the REM period yet, and this can cause complications. It is possible, but usually not worth the effort it takes. I would suggest trying to WILD during WBTB or mid day naps (usually 1-8 hours after waking in the morning...for best results). Good luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

Sounds like SP to me, at very least, you were close.
