      Red face Hello everyone!

      Hello everyone!

I am new here and I thought it would be nice if I'd introduce myself. I discovered what lucid dreaming was over one week ago when I was looking up something on the internet. I read some things about lucid dreaming and I watched a few videos too. I found the idea very interesting. A few days later I found out about this site and here I am! On this site I read about dream journals, reality checks and much more. I'm already keeping a dream journal now and I also do a lot of reality checks every day. I haven't tried any lucid dream inducing methods because I'm still really new to lucid dreaming and I feel like I have to understand some things a bit better to start doing the more "advanced" things.

I guess that's it for now and I'm sorry if there are some spelling mistakes is this post because English is not my first language.

      Bye, Sunlight.

Welcome to DreamViews! I still remember the excitement I felt when I first learned about lucid dreaming as well. Its very good practice to keep a dream journal and make sure that when you perform your RCs (reality checks), that you aren't just going through the motions. Take a moment to look around at your environment and truly question whether you are dreaming. Imagine that everything you see is actually just a dream. Then perform a reality check and see if you actually are dreaming. Stay confident, don't get discouraged, and expect success! Good luck to you and if you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask!

      Welcome Sunlight!

Yes you are in for a treat. It sounds like you have patience and are bright enough to do your homework first before jumping in the deep end. That's refreshing to see. Many lack both qualities and want instant gratification. I wish you success!

Great to have you here, Sunlight!

Dream signs and DILD is how I got into lucid dreaming, as I was having lucid dreams and not understanding what they were. I could always jump "leap" up into the air (float) to get away from anything chasing me. I guess that is probably where my username originally comes from lol - if you need any help just ask! -Chase

      Thank you all!

      Thank you!!!

KingYoshi: Yeah! I can't wait to have my first lucid dream! Thank you for the tips too!

      Mental: Thank you!

Chase: So you just had lucid dreams without even having to practice?! That's sooo cool! Maybe I'll try DILD after some time.
