Cool I am new around :D

Hello guys. This is my first day on this forum, and I have to say that I am quite excited to see such a big community interested in something like lucid dreaming, which interest me very very much too.
I am 18 years old, and this is the fist year I try to become lucid. I have read most of the tutorials, and things start to make sense for me. Personally, I think that the WILD technique is the best, because it seems faster and less random, although, I have never tried it (I have never tried any technique)
Also, the adoption thing seems pretty cool, and I am thinking of giving it a try after seen how things go in the forum.

I am also having some problems concerning LD, and I would like to ask you for some advice.
      a) Because I have a little bother with me (14 years old), in the same room with me, how am I supposed to keep a dream journal every morning, without having to explain to him, what are these things that I am writing every morning? And why I keep waking up every morning at 5 o clock for no reason...
      b) What are good things to do, while I wake up after 6 hours of sleep, for trying WILD?
      c) For the people that go to school/college. How do u keep up with the LD stuff and school? Is it hard? I am mostly worrying about the early morning wake up.

      Also some questions I have
      1) Is astral projection real? And if so, how much more difficult is it from LD?
      2) What exactly is meditation, and what are its uses?
      3) Are "shared dreams" true? I mean, is it possible for 2 people to share a dream? (Thats a nice thing, to explore with an adopter)

So, thats all about me. If you would like to ask me anything else (Like my favorite music, of favorite anime, feel free ) Hope I see you in the forum.

      I'll answer your questions.
1:I think astral projection is real, although I've never tried it.
2:Meditation is to relax your mind and body, If you are looking for how its useful you should ask other people. I think that you don't need it at all and I get lucid every night.
3:I've experienced a shared dream with my brother before although we weren't lucid. (he's your age) And there is a lot of people that claim to do it to, so I'm pretty sure it can be done.

And about your dream journal stuff. You don't have to keep a dream journal unless your memory is really bad. If you need to explain anything to your little brother just tell him what your doing, its no big deal. Also yes, waking up after a few hours of sleep then going back to sleep is one of the best ways to become lucid. Most my lucids are that way.
It doesn't matter if you have school or not, just set your intent on lucid dreaming. It's really not that hard. Just don't try too much. Keep coming to it in your thoughts throughout the day.

Haha, I happen to be 1 year older than your brother. I've completely changed since a year ago.

Edit: If you ever need help with anything just PM me.

On the Dream Journal, I have actually done these 3 things and they all seem great.
Option 1 - Type them on the computer and hide the files. Sadly your computer may crash...
Option 2 - Type them on the Dream Entries on Dreamviews.com, if you don't want them public set to draft.
Option 3 - Use a recorder and speak instead of write or type.

If you want to type up the dream journal and have it private you could also save word docs of them, and then to store them online you could use a site like dropbox. Or you could just type them up here on the site.

I'm currently taking taking college classes and I don't find it hard to balance it with LDing. It's not really that time consuming, I can work reality checks into my normal schedule, and if I was keeping a dream journal it'd probably take me about 10 minutes to do in the morning.

      I wanna asnwer too.

      a) Tell your body about Lucid Dreaming, dah. I did and he got excited.
      b) Meditate or just relax.
      c) I go to school, but I don't care about the loss of sleep, because Lucid Dreaming is very important to me.

      1) It's definetely real and LD is more difficult for me (I've never really tried OBE/AP, but I almost got out of my body while doing DEILD.
      2) You should google "Meditation and lucid dreaming".
      3) Some people believe that they are tue and some don't. Personally, I do.

      What is your faourite anime?
      My opinion:
*Lucid Dreams, OBEs, Astral Projections are one and the same.
*There are no levels of lucidity. Quality changes if you apply some deepening.
*Lucid Dreams do not last more than 20 minutes.
      *Wolves are beautiful.

      That one is fine.

Why don't you tell your brother about lucid dreaming? Maybe he will share this interest with you. You will have someone to talk about it not only on the internet, you can teach him - that way you will understand everything better. I would have been so much happier now if at the age of 14 someone had got me into lucid dreaming

I have tried to download "Sleep Stage", which looks cool, but I need to be a beta participant. I will try torrenting it.

Thnk for the answers, although I still have doubts about the Astral Projection. Has anyone in this forum achieved it?

Also my fav one is, Full-metal Alchemist - Brotherhood.

Nah, even if I told him, he wouldn't care. He is not the type of person that is interested to stuff like that. Also, I downloaded it. Gonna try it latter
