Question was i awake or asleep?

ok last night i went to bed after relaxing for awhile i put on headphones with ocean wave sounds playing to relax i was there laying for a good 30 min at least my arms went numb and my legs were tingling a bit and i started to see colors and then i felt a big rushing feeling like i was being accelerated downward and i saw a flash in my eyes and i layed there not moving wondering if i was asleep or awake i didnt want to move and i didnt want to open my eyes to waste all that time i spent getting relaxed and SP so i just layed there relaxed and in 5 min i went into a normal dream. was it possible that that was a false awakening? could i have been asleep?

Well the first part you described was definitely SP. It is quite possible that you had a false awakening (they are quite common with WILDing). You also could have simply transitioned into the dream without realizing it. If you are hallucinating heavily and it suddenly stops, try to move your arm slightly and see if you can. If you can move it, go ahead and perform a RC. If you are not dreaming, you can always go back to the WILD process and act as if you had never moved in the first place. Most likely, SP broke and you didn't quite make it through the transition, but the normal dream starting soon after is quite curious. Where did the beginning of this normal dream start? Like what location? Were you in your room or....?

Seems like you experienced the hypnagogic imagery and transitioned into a regular dream because you lost your attention. Need to find an anchor to hold your consciousness. False awakenings are common when attempting WILD's, so probably.
