      Newb. :]

So, a friend showed me the site. I've looked into lucid dreaming before, but I put it off, and procrastinated, and originally, I didn't quite believe it was worth the time. Finally I figure what can hurt? Also, a friend of mine, Coolb3rt, said that he's been getting it down pretty well, and that this site was very helpful. So here I am. :]

      Wish me luck. =D

Welcome, Xop! It's always nice to have friends already on the forum. Coolb3rt, you're a good man for helping another. 8)

Good luck, bud! There are some really awesome articles I would suggest checking out the Dreamviews Wiki - The DV Tutorials especially. Happy dreaming. Let me know if you need help with anything.

Welcome. Ever since I've been interested in dreaming this site has had every single answer I could possibly imagine. Take a look around at the tutorials. They are extremely helpful and will get you used to the language that people use on the forums.

You have to sleep... So why not learn about how to control your dreams and do amazing things while you're sleeping? Quit putting it off!

I have had full nine hour lucid dreams, and then woken up completely refreshed. It's actually really weird, because it feels like one looong day. It feels as though you SHOULD be exhausted, yet you are completely refreshed.
---o--- my DCs say I'm dreamy.

So last night, I manage to have the most vivid dream ever...I remembered so many ridiculous details, it's unreal. Mostly, of course, because I started writing the moment my eyes opened. As I quickly jotted down notes, I realized my alarm hadn't gone off, so I went back to sleep in to the same dream. I managed to wake up again with my alarm an hour or so later and take in even more details. I guess this is the first step. I've never remembered so much of a dream before. I really can't believe I didn't realize that it was a dream....it was all too obvious, but I still went along with it. I guess it's all progress. :]
